I'm really not that into christmas tbh I won't even celebrate it when I can finally afford to live on my own

Not into Christmas ???

not the overt commercialism where one's affection for their family is gauged by the number and expense of the gifts exchanged with those around them, I enjoy spending the day with the family, and the almost inevitable and excessive consumption of alcohol it entails though

I don't think there are many people who care how expensive gifts are, children are the exception. Then again, you seem to be in that transition period where you start disliking the stuff you loved during your childhood, and now you're all about alcohol, fuck yeah!!

not being devoted enough to submit a review a week for this place I just wrote my first album review in about ten months for my other forum, it is hard to write reviews when you're so out of practice but I think I managed ok

ok perhaps not being devoted enough isn't quite right, more like I generally don't have the time for it three quarters of the year with university commitments

spammed the entire forum one night.

I just haven't been on the net recently. lady texted me last night saying she didn't want to dump me but was pissed how I called her out for blowing me off. not talking yet but I'm giving it till Sunday to work it out. hung out with an ex last night and maybe a movie tomorrow. contemplating whether to hook up with punk chick tonight at show but she tastes like cigarettes and I have family xmas festivities tomorrow...

my company wants to send me to Brazil earlier than expected, like the third or fourth week of january, so i didn't move in to any house proper as they all wanted something more long-term.

staying with some iranian chick. the place is cheap, well located, spacious, clean and furnished, but there's only one room, i sleep on the couch. the shower is in the room and for some reason lacks walls or curtains so there's a "shower choreography" but hey.

christmas eve dinner:
- portuguese sausages - farinheira and alheira
- eggs

christmas day dinner:
- bacon and guacamole hamburgers
- nachos and homemade pico de gallo
- "pastel de nata" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pastel_de_nata
if i could have the world taste one thing from Portugal, it would be this. it has everything to be a "global" thing and it's a shame you can still only find it in Portugal and in places with big Portuguese communities

also bought some wines, sadly no Port or Moscatel but we can make do :)

happy holidays everyone!

Holiday festivities over. Watching a Roseanne marathon with my mom. Now, I need to figure out how to spend my next month given that the obligations I had have basically been fulfilled.

I'm now officially dumped, because I "have the sass and attitude of a 16 year old girl". I've laid on my mom's couch all day and watched season 3 of Parks and Rec. Getting through season four. My nose started running and I just let it run down my face. Because I don't care and have nowhere to be.

Internet toruble here.

Spent Christmas at my parents, got some games, Skyrim, NHL 13 and Fifa 13 among others. Shame I don't have time to play them when school restarts.

Got some other stuff as well such as a very cool coat, vacuum cleaner for the apartment, other clothing, movies, and other stuff.

I got this amazing Dr. Scholls full-back shiatsu massager that sits on top of a chair .. these little plastic balls rotate around and really dig in .. feels like a real massage. Best christmas present ever.

I have one of those, except it has two sets of rollers (for upper and lower back).
Vibrates, heats up, it's fucking awesome.
