I never really cared too much for Magnum Force somehow, though I did enjoy the other couple of DH sequels, especially the scene in The Enforcer where he is drilling that old politician broad about women in the police force.

Like I said I was in a foul mood last night, the blame is on me for taking your comment the wrong way

Being in the World - Documentary sort of about Heidegger but also about we should do things and make things because technology is taking that away from us and that's bad. Bad technology, stop stealing our humanity! It wasn't bad but it kind of skipped over the philosophically dense material (aka the stuff I care about) in favour of local handmade propaganda and flamenco music. So even though I agree with local handmade propaganda (to an extent) and I love flamenco music I felt like it was skipping the important stuff in favour of interpreting Heidegger's philosophy as supporting the latest trendy zeitgeist. Then again I dunno much about Hdggr so maybe he does support the latest trendy zeitgeist.
That sounds awful.

Speaking of which, four shots of Patron and a pint of Southern Tier's Krampus did not make the newest Twilight film watchable. Thought getting drunk and going would be fun. It wasn't. My drunk ass hated it.

Decided to re watch some of Guy Ritchie's movies. Except that Madonna crap and boring Sherlock Holmes.
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels - this I haven't seen in ages, so awesome that I cannot watch it without a smile on my face throughout the whole movie.
Snatch - if LS&TSB is 9,5 in my book, than this is 9.4. Brad Pitt's greatest role, tied with his acting in Twelve Monkeys.

watching the complete James Bond movie set hoping that one movie per week starting with Dr. No and going right through to Quantum Of Solace will take enough time for Skyfall to be out on DVD

@Wivian: I put Snatch .1 above Lock Stock.

Prometheus
Couldn't get what the fuss on this movie was about. It's okay, AI meets Alien meets StarGate, etc. Nothing new.

As far as I can remember, the fuss only existed until the movie actually came out. Then everybody was like 'wtf?'

Makes sense from what I've seen.

Prometheus was one of the rare hyped up movies that I liked.

Prometheus fails almost universally, it was a truly dreadful movie that should never have been made, it's an embarassment, fortunately they had the common sense to not lump it in as a prequel proper to the Alien series so they retain some dignity, but seriously what were they thinking?

new resident evil will fall into this trap as well, be hyped to insane degrees then turn out rubbish just like RE: Afterlife did

That's because they made it a sequel to Bladerunner.

I liked Prometheus for what it was. OBVIOUSLY it was never going to be anywhere near as good as Alien(s), but I had low expectations and was pleasantly surprised.

Dude, RE has always been dreadful. Fun in a turn-brain-off kinda way, but dreadful.

Agreed. First one was ok, showed promise. Everything since, dreck.

I liked the third one as well but whatever point taken, should have made the movies closer to the games, or let the people who worked on the games do the movies that way they wouldn't have sucked

Yeah. Only the first one was somewhat decent, and I enjoyed it when it came out. The rest, especially the last two, is unbearable. There's nothing I hate more than slo-mo-CGI shit being pushed in my face. FUCK THAT!

RocknRolla
The last really really good Ritchie film. A bunch of wicked characters, cool dialogs and some really memorable scenes makes this an awesome movie. Though not as good as his first two.

Was Revolver Guy Ritchie or just simply a Statham flick?

I'd say Ritchie. It's true that Statham, being already famous then unlike when he starred in LS&2SM, got much more room than usual. Which is a bit odd when you look at most of Ritchie's films. Good movie, not excellent, with that rapper from Outkast being the weakest link here. WHY him of all good actors out there?

Speaking of Statham, outside of Guy Ritchie's films, I found him best in Mean Machine as a maniac-karate expert-murderer, kind of a remake of some Burt Reynolds movie from the seventies. He kills there.
