59 is too high for this garbage.

I had hopes for this band after their debut, but unfortunately they've only gone farther down the shitter since then.

Pretty much my feelings exactly, which I did mention.

If you think 59 is too high for this album, you might feel better about the score I plan to give their latest one...

I'll be honest, I've yet to read the review. I will now.

Any new bands worth a damn? I stopped paying attention to the new thrash scene about 2 years ago.

I would recommend you Vektor. One of the best newer trash bands if you ask me. Worth looking into

Edit : Nevermind. Seem you already know about them since you posted in the Outer Isolation thread :P

Yeah Vektor, along with Hexen, are the only 2 new bands I still care about. I do really like Merciless Death, but they've disappeared off the face of the earth.

You may have checked them out already but the last Heathen , Overkill and Kreator are pretty good. The Heathen album is not from 2012 (2010) but still worth checking out

Yeah, DW, that Overkill band is from the East Coast so they kinda have that New York/Jersey vibe to them sorta like Anthrax, but with a meaner, gruffer sound than those guys. You'd totally dig it.

I need to add that Destruction has a new album out. Haven't listened to it yet but judging by their track record these guys rarely disappoint when it comes to thrash albums so that may be another interesting option. (or pretty much their entire catalogue is worth checking out if you aren't already familiar with the band)

Hexen is probably the only band out of this genre that is worth a damn. Everyone else though, had to see this coming. How many times can you rip off an Exodus or Testament riff and expect people to keep coming back for more? This genre was doomed from the start. Unlike other retro genres, this one exceeded my expectations as far as lack of creativity and ingenuity go. The retro NWOBHM and power metal type movements have stagnated as well, but not at this rate. The retro thrash crap became crap in record time.

Bam. Wrong thread. These guys blow. They wish they were as good as MuniWaste.

Literally, shit all sounds the same to the degree that I can't distinguish threads *tugs collar*

Yeah, beloved is a very strong word.

But the first album still rips. I listened to it for reference when I was reviewing this. I'd say it's a solid 75 - 80.
