Ummm they kill monsters. That's the formula. What else did you expect? They're tracking the yellow eyed demon for at least the first two seasons. At some point, more intense demons happen, but basically same ol' schtick. The series never goes full tilt into storyline mode insofar as there are always quite a few one-off episodes.

That's not the problem, it's the actual storyline of every episode.
1. Read something completely random yet apparently suspicious in newspaper.
2. Drive fuck I know how many miles to place in middle of nowhere.
3. Talk to attractive blonde with a false identity.
4. Attractive blonde discovers true identity.
5. Explain why they're there.
6. Track demonthingshit down, kill it in unspectacular manner.
7. Drive away to absolutely nowhere.

Sometimes they're brunettes. It's all about the lols along the way. You may enjoy it more once the whole Lillith/Lucifer/Castiel storyline breaks out in full swing. Less random blondes and monsters and more we're on a mission kind of stuff. Or maybe not if you throw in the towel.

Watched two episodes of Walking Dead season 3 so far and must admit its some of the best stuff Ive ever seen on tv. Just brilliant.

Also enjoying new season of Person of Interest. Jim Caviezel's dry sense of humor and ass kicking skills are a pleasure to watch.

Only seen one Dexter so far, burning to see the rest.

Saw the first Elementary and its nowhere near as good as Sherlock. Its actually sad to see them try so hard. There are just too many similar series in this genre - only the Mentalist comes close imho.

Saw one episode of the American Inbetweeners remake and its laughably bad, just horrible. The English original is an all time classic for me, and the Americans are raping its jokes, just sad.

Last comment - watch Downton Abbey!!!

Dexter has been so awesome. When Deb started questioning about Lumen I got chills. Best season in a long long time.

But with the mention of Lumen and the getting it on at the end, it is quickly funneling the season into a rather simplistic ending I fear. Deb wants her dead because of what the writer told her. Dexter finds companionship in her and if he doesn't kill her than his code becomes relative and arbitrary. Blonde killer lady will try to kill Deb, because she'll go after her herself then Dexter comes into save the day and realizes once again, that he has to kill everyone he finds and that he can't make exceptions a la Trinity.

All seasons of Law and Order are some of the worst shows I've ever seen, and having to sit through The Big bang theory with my youngest brother was absolute fucking torture. I've literally never felt so helpless in my life watching these retards with their banal humor and NBC'S laughably outdated Laugh track to compensate for the lack of anything humorous in that horrible show. If that is what your average beer guzzling American watches...wow....

Highlander becomes pretty heavy on rehashed flashbacks after five seasons. It wouldn't be so bad maybe if I hadn't watched all four season in little less than a month... but I find myself skipping minutes every episode just because I saw them, but not two weeks ago.

I grew up watching that show with my Uncle, looking back I wish I paid more attention to it it seemed pretty sick. As for the history channel, you're average person doesn't give two fucks about the Battle of Waterloo, ancient technology, or anything that doesn't involve some shitty re-enactment or modern puns and flashy imagery. Even when the bulk of programming was ww2 related they had a lot of shows that dealt with other facets of history, even when their programming delved into the more conjectural stuff like the paranormal (yes, Ancient aliens was bullshit) I found it far more beneficial than seeing those morbidly obese homos in Pawn stars or those backwater douchebags in Ice Road truckers. The programming has gone down because retards have thrown their support behind junk programming. Its a shame really because apart from obvious cartoons I watched growing up, all I ever watched was the History channel and it gave me far more historical information Propaganda Public schools ever did.

It straddles a fine line between sick and corny. But I never get too critical about it and thoroughly enjoy it. I'm like halfway through the fifth season at this point. It's the perfect show to have playing in the background or maybe that's just because I've seen a majority of the episodes once before. I used to always watch it with my stepdad. It seems to have oddly hooked middle aged men who I generally don't see as watching television honestly. Purely anecdotal.

Good. Now I don't have to watch the rest of the season. Bring on Game of Thrones.

Add Two and a Half Men to your list and How I Met Your Mother. Two terribly unfunny shows that people seem to love.

I could be wrong

And when does Game of Thrones start? I'm getting excited for January programming.

I agree. If you want to watch a funny show on network tv check out modern family. It's good.

I watch the history channel for documentaries about space. And swamp people. I like animal documentaries. Some stuff on some ancient cultures. Oh and I will watch ancient aliens just to get pissed off. Those fucking guys say aliens did everything. Fuck human ingenuity, aliens did it! Fucktards! And that Greek asshole with the crazy hair is the biggest retard out of the whole retarded crew. Oh the pyramids... Our little brains can't fathom humans working together on such a large scale therefore ALIENS DID IT!! Stupid assholes. How can you have trouble believing humans built something but be able to make the leap to aliens in the blink of a fucking eye. They don't even weigh evidence they just jump to oh it must be aliens. I've thrown shit at the tv on multiple occasions watching that retarded show. But I'm a masochist so I watch it anyway.

pretty disappointed with the one episode of Supernatural season 8 I've watched so far, perhaps one of you Americans who likes the show can tell me if things have gotten any better otherwise I may not even bother with this one, last season was ok, six was kind of crappy, liked the first five much more then these last few

also think Dexter was much better in the first few seasons, it's just gotten a little stale for me lately

one tv show I really miss is Deadliest Warrior, actually testing historical weaponry to analyze what damage it could inflict, analyzing battle tactics, I was less interested in their simulated battles but for mindless entertainment i suppose they were ok

Season 8 of Supernatural has been rather slow. Not much action. The random monsters encounters haven't been that great and Crowley doesn't do it for me as the evil of all evils role that he is in this season.

And the latest season of Dexter, seven, has been great. If you hated five or six, just skip 'em and get on the latest.
