Not in a good mood. Between getting a dumb grade and having to present tomorrow in the face of rushing to get my Halloween costume and attend two parties with new lady friend this weekend, I'm just feeling anxious but not in a good way. I'm actually just not happy about any of this. Grrr...

Sorry about the dumb grade, bro. I remember getting so frustrated in one of my courses that I just stopped reading the comments on my essays, because the criticisms were all too predictable.

The professor's comments just seemed to be trying to maintain a distinction of her own personal preference. I basically tried to argue that two theorists were more similar than she allowed in class and her summary of my grade pointed to other essays that we were never assigned. Frustrating.

Yeah, that is awful, and just sounds lazy to me.

The worst part, and I know because I've tried this, is that if you ask the professor for some time to talk about your grade, there will be absolutely no way to convince her otherwise, no matter how logical, well thought and respectful your argument may be.

Mood has improved since the weekend but I can't seem to find my paycheck.

I can understand having feelings for her but it's a bit silly to call her a whore for extending common courtesy to an old friend. Seriously? It sounds like you're not considering her perspective at all and just assuming you're the center of the world :-\

But I did read it! "When she just popped out with I'm awesome I'm getting married I'm finishing school" sounds like pretty typical small talk for people who haven't seen each other in a while.

I finally ordered a condenser mic and am excited. The nady spc25. I've read it outperforms the sm58 from reviews as far as tone and clarity. It's a handheld mic. I have a pre-amp I dug out of my PA that has 2.5K or 10K inputs, so no worries there. It goes up to 18Khz, so my demos will actually sound far better with the fast transient response and an added 6Khz of bandwidth at the top end so that I can actually hear the ringing of an on key note properly. I guess I'm gonna have to wait until christmas to get a cheap mixer so that I can hear myself without latency. Singing while hearing yourself through the headphones 1/5th of a second late is a huge hindrance I can't wait to get rid of. The only thing that concerns me is if this mic is wired properly as so many are not where the ground down the negative pole instead of wiring it to the cold pole of the XLR plug.

Now I am gonna be bored since I can't record anything for a week knowing no matter what it will sound like shit once the new mic arrives.

A cheap mic sound good until you layer three or four tracks on top of each other... then it sounds like a mess and all the glaring problems become obvious.

this would be true for regular people. i might not of done a good enough job explaining Noodle Doodle Ding Dong. She played around with me for almost 2 years. always hinting at something more. never actually giving more. its really hard to put into words and recall the right memories to properly explain how big a jerkoff this girl is but at one point her friends came to me with "she is a asshole. she likes to play games." and all the "your too good for her and you dont deserve what she is doing to you bullshit that i didnt want to hear at the time. she found out a couple weeks later that her friends approached me and flipped out. whatever, i know what she is trying to do and she is a great big whore for doing it. especially since she is supposedly engaged and shit.

I don't disagree with your second sentence, but given the context here, I think it was reasonable to assume other motives.
