I had an awesome surprise birthday party this monday, aranged by my girlfriend. All my friends, new and old, were there. There was booze, metal (despite most of them not being into that kind of music) and great presents. They gave me Anaal Nathrakh's In the Constellation of the Black Widow, a huge drinking horn, The Bro Code book and a voucher of twenty euros I could use in my local metal store with which I bought Enslaved's RIITIIR. Afterwards we went out drinking some more, it was awesome. And I didn't have the tiniest clue about it. And thursday evening/night there's going to be an afterparty. I'm already looking forward to that.

Sounds positive, dude. Cool news.

It is positive. We're spending a lot of time together. Things are going quite great. Thanks for the support, man. It is much appreciated :)

This is probably the 500th time I've posted something like this, but fuck, nothing beats coming home from work and smoking a bowl(or two) and rocking out to some classic doom metal. What a combo.

I'm in new York. Just ate a falafel. Just seen the prettiest girl I've ever seen in my life. I'm going to a show. All in all a good night.

Man, I miss this shit so much. Had to quit. Was taking over my life. Maybe one day I'll learn how to smoke weed without becoming a completely reclusive 50 bong-a-day stoner that never goes anywhere or sees anyone.....but for now I have to stay off the stuff.

Hah, when I was on the stuff it actually made me sociable, but then I doubt I smoked as much as you. All a matter of degree I guess.

Date was cancelled tonight because she had stomach pains from sustained antibiotic use. Makes sense. Busy sewing my halloween costume like a boss. Have to wake up early in the morning to venture down to DC and check out some art galleries. From there, I'm driving up to Baltimore to go to the Book Burner CD release.

I've had a cold the last week and a half and the last two days I took some phenylephrine thinking it would be good for my sinuses and subsequently my voice. BIG FUCKING MISTAKE. This shit flat destroys your voice in a way nothing else I have ever experienced can. Avoid this crap at all costs. I really really sounded like shit after taking this crap. I'm glad I found out now and not by ruining a gig or something in the future. I mean this stuff is so bad that if you can sound even remotely decent after taking it you can sound good because of anything. I feel a lot better today not taking this garbage. You just can't beat chronic use of Afrin though, that stuff actually improves things in ever way.

I know I'm supposed to post this kind of info in the other thread, but people need to read this:

PHENYLEPHRINE found in cold and sinus products or even on it's own is a bad bad bad idea.

My boss might deny my request for a day off to see Septicflesh, Inquisition, Krisiun, and Melechesh in two weeks. I'm deliberating whether to just risk my life and call in, or just cry a sea of blackened tears and go to work that day. If I dont go I'll just blow a fuckload of money on cds and shirts, god damn boss!

I'm so sore and tired from that PD concert. Ugh. And I may have been awkward over texts yesterday with the new lady friend. I'm probably over thinking it but today and yesterday texting has been awkward. I don't know. I'm not super invested in her insofar as I don't know her that well, but I was super invested in the promise and hope of hanging out with her.

If texts are awkward call her instead.
