Didn't make me interested enough to go check this out. Not gonna lie.

I respect that Goat has been a fan of the Khold group of bands for a long time, but I could never tolerate their grindcoresque song lengths.

Yeah, I suppose a 3 minute track is too much credit for the genre

Too much credit? It's the fact that they can do so much in such a shorter amount of time in three minutes. Having not listened to Tulus, I can't imagine they can evoke the atmosphere in three minutes but if they can do what other bands do in nine in terms of tension, passion and epicness then more power to 'em.

I know you don't like grindcore, but the fact that Pig Destroyer can do in a quarter of the time what most death metal bands can't do then it's something to their credit.

You should at least check them out. Their debut Pure Black Energy has one of the most spinechilling pieces of cover art ever in the black metal realm. You just look at it and feel that cold black metal gripping your bones. Plus, fucking good album, with the Khold-y stuff (that we know and love!) working great, just great BM with good use of bass and solid songwriting skills.

Ok, ok, I'm not supposed to be a member of the closed-minded legion anymore. I'll give a listen to this and the new Pig Destroyer, no promises that I'll like either... then again, they both ought to be more interesting then say, the new Cryptopsy.

(Relistening to Masterpiss of Pain) The sound Khold showed early in their career was good, good enough to warrant listening to some Telus.

I don't have much hope for the new PD. Go listen to Terrifyer or if you like Morbid Angel, check out Terrorizer.

And yeah, Masterpiss of Pain was awesome. If you like that I feel like you have to like Hundre Ar Gammal. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok, so I only just googled this, so I might have found the wrong thing, but are you talking about this?

Because that is one the least spine chilling, least scary images I've ever seen. Looking at that guy, all I can think is "Get a fucking job and move out of your parent's basement, you're a grown man." Seriously, dude, are you trolling or are we talking about different cover art that I failed to find?

Zad legitimately thinks Khold is good black metal, chances are he's serious.

Oh FFS. It was a 'That's the joke!' pic from The Simpsons...
