South Pacific (Live @ Lincoln Center) - First act is all wacky military fun, goofy sailors, goofy songs. Things get pretty intense and emotional and a little strange in Act 2 (Racist protagonists oh my!)

Waiting for Godot (Beckett on Film) - I really enjoyed this. Although it made me wonder whether Beckett was an influence on Monty Python, or whether they're retroactively applying Monty Python-type humour onto Beckett's play. Strange funny and good

Was so drunk last night that I watched a lengthy portion of a Fast and Furious film. No idea which one it was, but it had like Tyrese, Ja Rule, Vin Diesel, and The Rock. It was like Fast Furious All-stars or something. And even whilst drunk I thought it was god awful.

Cabin in the Woods

I'm no video game/movie critic like some people here are, but this is still pretty good. My roommate actually still jumps/cringes at movies like this and he use to be in the army. Pussy.

I loved The Cabin in the Woods, one of my favorite movies of 2011. It's a fun spin on the generic, cliché horror movie. I found it so damn funny in a delightful, black comedy sort of way. It's almost to monster movies what Scream was to slasher movies.

None of my friends liked it though so what the fuck do I know.

I loved it as well for the same reason you did. It's just over the top fun. How can you not love the absolute mayhem with all the fantastical creatures during the last part of the movie?

Yeah, I also thought it was cool. A bit of fresh air in the horror genre.

Surprised no one responded to this. I'm so psyched for the new Dredd. Heard it's crazily comic-accurate. And anyone who's read the old 2000 AD comics knows that Dredd is the ultimate fucking badass in those books.....
