marilyn manson music is boring, imo, the riffs, for me a huge part of music, are completely uninspired and not excactly worth remembering, and I HATE HIS VOICE!!! aaah, ive wanted to say that for ages.

I can't believe he was signed by Trent Reznor.

Why do people love Trent Reznor so much? He's NOT underground by any stretch of the imagination, he stole all his music from Skinny Puppy, and last but most definately not least, he sings songs about his ex-girlfriend. And he's 40.

If you want to hear good NIN-type stuff listen to Alec Empire, who took a more punkier and therefore a lot more origional sound on his latest, Futurist.

I can see little interestign about either.

A coupel of NIN songs were good. Not stuff iwould buy though or even download.

If you span mansons career though you can find enough good songs to make a mix disc that is decent.

Pre-With Teeth NIN is awesome. I don't know if it's stolen or not, but I sure love The Downward Spiral.

Well, Heresy's symphony and variation part, I believe, was ripped off from a Front 242 song, Headhunter. Either that, or a song off of Tyranny (For You). March of the Pigs is a rather blatant rip-off of at least seven songs, in addition.

Could be wrong, though. I'd have to listen to them both again, and I haven't seen my copy of The Downward Spiral in ages.

Before i started listening to alot of metal, i was a big NIN fan. Havent listened to their albums for a few years already. I'm not really bothered with With Teeth either, and from what people say it seems mediocre. My fav would be the Broken EP, followed by The Downward Spiral

I still listen to Hurt tho :). My fav NIN song

I actually don't mind him, I thought he has released a few good songs, he is very good at doing covers however (eg. Tainted love, sweet dreams, personal jesus). I think if he was to release a covers album it would definatly be worth listening to.

Definatly a fag however

Manson just rubs me the wrong way at every turn. His music is pretty bland, his whole "image" with the top-hats, black lip-stick, and contacts is retarded, and having to put up with pre-pubescent teenage girls squealing about how "hot" he is every day pisses me off.

I'll take Rammstein any day.

I listened to MM up to antichrist superstar and then didnt pick up anything after. Antichrist was a solid album.

I have a friend who keeps telling me that Holly-wood is also very good..

After reading the above and remembering the 10 buck used price tag.. maybe I'll give him another shot.

I find his music boring, and i don't appreciate his cheap shock tactics either. Better than all the nu-metal (un-metal) and emo crap out there, though.

Yep. "Alternative" rock with some industrial (or rather electronica) and goth influences.

Call it industrial in front of an industrial rivethead, and you'll have to listen to a long, angry rant. Call it goth in front of a goth, and she'll prolly start crying. :D
