Massive bummer. Genuinely surprised though, they seemed to still be a pretty relevant label. Though looking through the catalog there seemed to be a pretty sudden and severe drop-off in them putting out major releases this year, for whatever reason.

Who cares if they stock garbage or garbage to cater to a limited demographic its their fault as business owners, hence being weeded out of the market its their own fault. If I want to buy the latest flavor of pop folk indie drone I'll be sure to purchase it from their closing out sale. Crap label, no big loss.

Cool, I expect you'll be the first to shrug if NWN goes under for catering to an even more limited demographic, then.

There is zero chance of that happening at least for now, the guy is holding an international metal fest with bands like Rotting Christ, Blasphemy, and Revenge not to mention the prices for the albums are absolutely unbeatable compared to some neckbearded moron who charges fifteen dollars for some crappy noise artist only three people have heard of. The guy knows the demographic he is catering too and they're all diehards.

Those are two semi-known bands that don't get much fare outside of people that are vaguely interested in drone or more experimental styles of music. Its not like they're flying off of Hydras's shelves when theyr're asking twelve to fifteen dollars to someone who can buy it from Amazon for five or just download it. Seriously seveteen bucks for some shitty Cave in 00ber delux digi, fuck that shit I just browsed through their store and apart from some Xasthur, Isis, and Botch material they stock limpwristed indie garbage

Not to mention the guys from Sunn as much as their music sucks horribly have their own label which charges far less for semi-related material. Though I have heard some negative comments regarding customer service from the guys

Sad to see a label associated with Jesu, Isis and Pelican going under. Not so much for Xasthur for me but I feel your pain.

Those are acceptable choices as well.

earlier Pelican sucks pretty badly, but they got better towards the end.

I thought of buying Keelhaul's Triumphant Return to Obscurity on vinyl but it's sold out.
