I know, I was speaking generally... but, do you agree it need at least 10 years to judge if an album is a classic or not ?

I do.
Venom - Black Metal, Celtic Frost - Morbid Tales are two that come to mind.

This is a pretty good album, but I have to say that "As Flittermice As Satans Spys" is, without a doubt, the best song on the album, and one of the best Black Metal anthems ever.

It would be hard to choose the best song of the album; but without a doubt Transilvanian Hunger, Skald Av Satans Sol and As Flittermice As Satans Spys are the best ones. Nevertheless, I find this album perfect.

Yeah this album is a Classic, but I do understand why people don't like Darkthrone.

It is just too simple that was how BM was in those ages... simple but also Fuckin' Evil and Cold!!!

I mean I like it, no Q's about it but I do Prefer Nattens Madrigal By Ulver more than this. On the other hand I don't like comparing bands to bands, they all have something that you can definitely get from. If you are a BM fan I might add!

I would also like to add; Daniel I love your reviews as they are my guide to Black Metal albums I buy.

Oh and just for the record, I preffer Nattens Madrigal too.

I want to send you my warm words of welcome as well, I just rated the album 40/100 8) , but I like some of the Dark Throne ripp offs, such as Vargsang. Ow and Nattens Madrigal would be like rusted onto my LP player if I would not have to change sides all the time (and replace it with Noenum of course ;)).

I just want to mention two bands that I went to their concert and fuckin' enjoyed it! Operation Winter Mist and Sufference. You guys might wanna check it out, that is if you don't know of these bands!

Hmm, Operation Winter Mist wasn't really able to convince me. Maybe they are different live, it sure is suitable music for live concerts. I haven't heard Sufference, what are they like?

But on the other hand, if they released another "transilvanian hunger" fans would probably hate it anyway :roll: IMO they can try as hard they want but we would still be looking at them as a band going down the drain.

I listen to this cd once a week, if i listened to it anymore than that i would start dressing in black, and start to learn how to speak Norweigen......and yeah i think you get the point. Personally i like ABITNS, i know early black metal is supposed to have a raw production sound, but Transylvanian Hunger was released after ABITNS and it sounds like one of there earlier produced works, then again i just started listening to Darkthrone, so im gonna stop talking. i mean writing

Well Darkthrone has gone downhill just like everybody else allright but I think that Sardonic Wrath is a very good album.
