Own/operate a patient transfer service. Pick people up at one spot and bring them to another. Mix a taxi with an ambulance and you have us.
Oh okay. I think I've never asked you that before. Nor do I remember seeing that anywhere on the forums. In any case, are you happy with the pay?
I love the job and the pay is great, perks of being the boss I get to set the rates and every bodies pay, but I hate all the BS that is involved with running a business. Everybody wants your money, everybody has a problem, everybody asks questions they shouldn't, etc..
Tell me about it. I'm in management. There are some really cushy aspects of it, like being able to hand off work to my underlings so I can concentrate on things I think are more worthy of my time (besides metalreviews, hehe. I meant actual work).
But on the other hand, when shit goes wrong, the blame comes back to me, and just like you said just dealing with everyone's bullshit sucks. Customers, suppliers, payments....man.
Some days I wanna just give it all up and go work on an assembly line where I can just listen to music on earphones all day and go home at 5 and never think about work.
But the pay is too good. Damn it.
I am in Management, but from the military side of the house so things are a bit different for us. The last two years have really put me through the fire as far as learning how to properly manage people and their abilities/personalities to keep the mission going. It is a rewarding position, but also a giant pain in the ass everytime I have to put out a brushfire or deal with some personnel issue (the legit ones are fine, but the "he said/she said" shit gets old fast).
