Worry not. That guy is going to end up divorced, gang raped by tuberculous baboons, and eventually dead at 35.

You're doing great. So much better than I...

This made me laugh, then feel guilty because the guy in question is actually quite nice. Still, rather him than me...!

That's exciting, Thomas. Yes is good for any occasion, I would think. Congratulations, man.

@Zad: A lot of people here in Canada still rent with even money in their hands. Buying a house is a big commitment.

Thatcher polluted his mind with the notion that he has to own a house to feel accomplished. Owen Jones taught me that.

When I will buy a house a couple of years from now I won't be spending more than 260 thousand. I don't need a big house with a pool and all the jazz that comes with it. Fuck that.

$260,000  I've never lived in a home worth more than $100,000 my whole life.

Property ownership, byatch. It's a thang! Being fair, guy in q is purchasing with a mortgage with his girlfriend, and living with gf is a few years off for me anyway.

I'm gathering that property values in lovely Banff are staggering.

I just don't see the economy providing the same kind of jobs that it once did that ensured the 30 year investment that home ownership demands... To each their own. I'm a broke-ass motherfucker and probably always be. Apartment renting is the life for me.

I don't recall where in Canada you were?

@others: Yeah housing in Banff is a little more expensive than here in Calgary I presume. I would love to have an apartment in Banff! It'll be absolutely fantastic. However, housing in beautiful Vancouver is more expensive than it is here in Calgary. In Calgary, the price mentioned earlier can get you a very decent living place with a pool and all the other things that come with it. Altogether buying or living here in Canada or even in the Unites States is much easier than say where I come from back in Iran (ancient Persia). Having said that, having money in Iran will guarantee you: paradise (despite the political situation).

That's horrible to hear. I'm really sorry to hear that, man. I hope a surgery can be a cure. A very good friend of ours had the same problem and a surgery she had removed the ill cells altogether. I wish her all the best of possibilities.

That's horrible Thomas... Can she fight it even though it is rare? I know lots of survivors, from this ward I often go to. I wish her the best.

I don´t know, and they don´t know yet. They have to see if it has spread to other organs than her stomach, but she has been admitted to surgery next month. We´ll know more after that and after the various tests she will have to go through the coming month.

Thank you for the sympathy everyone.

Thomas, I'm saddened by your news. I wish you and your family the best during all of this. I hope that you get encouraging news when the test results are in. Take care sir.

My nephew Logan walked up to me when I got out of the car and says "my shirt is cooler than your shirt uncle Cory."

In the eyes of a 3 year old, Iced Earth cannot compete with Thomas the Tank Engine. Fucking hilarious, made my day.
