Couldn't agree more, you're doing the right thing. The same is happening to me. My parents are fucking retired and do not have the slightest idea of what the job market looks like right now, so they're being assholes about me doing jobs waaaaaay below my master's degree. But between this and doing nothing? *snort* A no-brainer to me.

Fuck our families.

Just got back from a a visit with my family and I have a splitting headache. Anyone ever flown with sinus congestion and gotten a terribly painful headache during the decent from landing? God it was awful, like someone pushing needles behind my eyes....

I just experienced the same thing last week. We were flying back from Utah to North Carolina and I had contracted this wicked sinus infection (in fact I'm still dealing with it) which plagued me for my entire week of vacation. When the plane descended on final approach the sudden pressure and pain in my forehead near my left eye was tremendous and excruciating. I thought that I was experiencing an aneurysm or something similar because the pain was just incredible. It took hours before it subsided. I'll never fly again with a sinus infection/cold. Brutal!!

I also found out that I can't deal with moving to high altitudes quickly on that trip. We left one park which was at an elevation of about 3,500 ft. and then drove to an elevation of 9,000 ft within 2 hours. Whoa did I ever pay for that. Headache, nausea, a bit of delirium, and I couldn't catch my breath. So, we stayed one night and the next morning drove back down to a lower elevation.

Yep, that is exactly what I had. Going to do some research of ways to get around it because I tend to fly often, and if this is going to be a regular thing I need to figure it out.

The flight attendant suggested warm compresses before the plane descends to me. She said had she known she would have supplied me with something to help.

lol, they only want the best for us, they just don't know how to get there.

it was ok. the job will be quite crap and the manager makes no qualms about it, but on the plus side it's a good name on the CV, i get access to all the training materials, and i'll be working with several senior managers, some of whom are known to recruit interns for their own teams, so let's see. it's up to me to show my best for the coming months. the team also seems pretty cool, so that's also a good sign.

my friend called me this afternoon saying that his old company is looking for people and they pay more than i'm getting and he could forward my application himself and i was like FUUUUUUUUU.

Keep meaning to write, but breaking self-imposed deadlines is too easy. :-(

Yesterday evening we went to my sister-in-laws house to visit, and also to check out the house across the street for possible renting. I had just bought a magazine and had a coke and was sitting on the couch when we went over.

I came back and my nephew Logan runs up to me (he is 3). "Cory, you left your drink on the couch, and it spilled, and its not Logan's fault." I racked my brain trying to figure out why the hell I would leave an open soda on the couch next to a magazine with a 3 year old and 1 year old running around. Find out a little later that Logan had found the soda on a shelf where I placed it in his reach (still stupid) moved it to the couch, spilled it, and immediately started working the angle with his mom that it was my fault so that when I walked back in I was already convicted of the crime.

Sneaky little shit........and smart as hell. Part of me was pissed, the other 98% was proud. That kid will make it far in this world :D

Quite night here at home. Writing my first out of two exams tomorrow. I'm ready for it. A bit anxious but that is just fear of the unknown. Very happy with the new headphones I got. Should be here in just a few days. I'll be spending more time at home so a pair of "home" headphones on the home theater system is a grand idea. I'll be working from the 30th of April and on. The regular 40 hours per week and most probably more. I really don't mind it. Have to pay the visa bill! Life is good.

Time to discuss the birds and the bees? Also cook. Girls dig it.

Make her cordon bleu. It can be either folksy (pork loin, crudo and cheddar) or sophisticated (veal, parma ham and gruyere), make it from scratch with flour, egg and breadcrumb batter and if she doesn't split her asscheeks in welcome from wall to wall I'll eat my hat.

If it isn't splitting asscheeks someone is getting butthurt.

Forsooth, how I harken back to manners of speech from Victorian times.

Girlfriend and I were planning on going on a date last night before she leaves for the summer and then having lots of sex. Instead there were 8 people at dinner and we were too tired once we got home. Then she wanted to go outside because it was sunny this morning >:[

Good. Now you can play "Island in the Sun" on key, but don't forget the last part of it drops down to E.

I'd well be a sorry example of a keyboard warrior if I didn't, now, wouldn't I. Of course I do; the advantage I have is that in Scotland it's not all that shocking.
