irl, I met an awesome chick. She went to a hardcore show with me. Well, we met at the bar prior to my friend playing and she dug it. We snuck away from the noise after that and continue talking. She stayed at the bar talking to me till after 1am yet had to wake up for work at 4am. That should be a good sign. She is hot and has a rocking bod and beautiful quarter sleeves tattooed on her with some vibrant ass colors. She knew my friend Simone and he's awesome so she must be as well.

Now, the problem is I asked her for dinner, i.e., the second date last night when she had family x-mas business to attend, and now I don't want to ask her for the second night in a row and seem needy.

Hate when girls pull that rubbish. Fair enough, if she's got something to do, that's fine, but if she's into why doesn't she suggest a postponement rather than making you crawl around shitting yourself about how to approach her? As far as advice goes, in my experience directness and honesty is the best way to avoid those kind of mind games. "I like you, let's go out, choose a date, I don't care how needy I seem."

She is awesome. And her voice sounds like Zooey Deschanel and she just called me and said let's go sushi which has me bouncing out of my chair with excitement.

Ech. Manic Pixie Dream Girl alert. Good luck though, at least she took initiative. Be a lad!

She called you which is a great sign. Just go, be yourself, have fun and don't worry about anything else than the moment. I wish you the best of luck. :)

I ask a second time when the opportunity/free time arises, then if she's "busy" both times I assume not interested. Although whenever I worry about something like that it's about a girl who's not interested. Seems like when both of us are interested, time together just happens in the early stages.

Noodz speaks wisdom. She works at the mall, I gave her the heads up I was shopping and she pounced on the opportunity to have lunch with me. I was scruffy looking and hadn't planned on seeing her. She bought me boots with her discount. Combat boots with a zipper down the side. Oh my god they're badass.

Walking around the bourgy party of Cincy made me realize that I'm no fucking hipster. Those kids are loaded with money and fucking cliche. It's preppy kids in semi-alternative clothes.

Spent best six months of life in Chile, now back in the USA. Sad about it+leaving my ladyfriend behind, but things are going well here. Happy about all the sweet clothes I got recently (pea coat, APC raw denim) and chilling out with my best friends in the world.

On the other hand, need to start applying for summer internships. Stressful. I really want this UChicago one but we'll see.

i know just how you feel... it sucked going back to the real world after an amazing experience in Mexico. set new objectives (school, internships, whatever) and get on it, once the ball starts rolling (in my case, getting interviews etc.) it gets better.

It's nice. Makes me feel like a doofus for worrying about that kind of stuff though.

I'm terribly hipster, and will look even moreso with the new clothes I've been getting. WOHOHOHOHOHOHO but at least I hope that I'll be able to get a cute hipster girlfriend.

Speaking of which, I saw her in her underoos last night and wow she is way out of my league. Just cuddled all morning after we slept next to each other, poking each other and playing footsy. Today was a great day of getting lunch in downtown Cincy and going for a stroll around, through an inner city park, before heading back to her place due to rain coming and I had to work. I'm feeling great that I have submitted all of my PhD applications in (minus an optional possibility I have been mulling over) and a few conference papers in, with just a few more to send out next week.

I'm really freaking out about tomorrow night though. I'm blowing my friends off to hang out with new lady friend after my friends had struggled to get me a ticket to a sold out party downtown. It wouldn't be worth going with them because I would be thinking of her and be mopy on the dance floor. Now, looking around on the internet for a new plan and thinking of a way to break it to my friends.

I'm incredibly afraid of seeming clingy to the new lady but she invites me out more if not equal to than the amount I've asked her out. I'm just much more affectionate than she is. She's rather cold but lightens up in moments.

Good guitar. We need to post some pictures of our guitars on here. I bought a Dean Vendetta and a Michael Kelly Hex Deluxe last year.

Small brunettes who dress cool and are great dancers.

Sigh.
