Halfway through Warrior. My movie of the year so far...

Ok, final verdict: an emotional tour de force. Nick Nolte deserves an Oscar. Absolutely brilliant movie.

The Wild Hunt again. Still great. This film needs an audience. The internet should love it. LOVE IT. But instead, I see nothing. I'm giving this ten years before it becomes a cult classic.

/hyperbole (But really, its great)

Yep, it has become a tradition to watch that every year for us.

Defendor - it's DEFENDOR not Defender

Clash of the Titans - over the top craziness, but surprisingly decent

Edge of Darkness - Mel Gibsons forced accent is a little much, but still pretty good

He threw a box of tarantulas into the situation. Also I prefer my revenge movies without Christian (sub)text.

The Queen's decolletage in 3D was the highlight in Clash of the Titans. All downhill from there.

trailer for "The Dictator", starring Sacha Baron Cohen. doesn't seem very funny, the indian music doesn't help, but i'd risk watching the whole thing anyway, unless it gets shit reviews when it comes out.

Of the Charlie Chaplin movie? if so: wat.

Wild Target - Cute British movie about assassins. Emily Blunt is pretty and wears cool clothes. I think the best parts were when her/Bill Nighy/Ron Weasly guy were bickering whilst trying to escape from imminent death. Some stuff was lame/annoying but overall I liked it.

Sweeney Todd (stage version) - Brilliant and heart-wrenching. I love how the events and characters make you sympathize/agree with Sweeney, but then he goes too far.

Planet of the Apes - The original one. Still hard hitting like 40 years ago. Amazing movie.

Yeah the end is on my personal top five "Best endings ever". The Usual Suspects and Soylent Green are there too... and I need to think of the last two. Hmm... Old Boy, maybe. And The Shawshank Redemption, for some reason.

Showboat - Great music, decent story. I liked it.

Threepenny Opera - A musical with one song in the first half hour? wtf. Didn't much care for this. Mack the Knife had cool gloves.

Cabaret (Sam Mendes stage version) - Really really great. Awesome music, wonderful story, brilliant performances. I loved how it shifts from being raunchy and fun to being quite sinister. Hilarious, dark and powerful. Sammy and the Emcee were so so good.

In Time - 8/10. Really enjoyed this fun, very original movie.
Midnight in Paris - 9,5/10. Brilliant Woodie Allen movie with Owen Wilson. Was engrossed from start to finish.
