So I got Skyrim but the new Assassins Creed is too good to put down. Skyrim will have to wait.

I have a CTD every 4-6 hours of play. It never is an issue, because I 'quick save' often (F5), and there are the 3 autosaves anyway.

Now, where am I? 50 hours of play (wait, already?!), level 27. One-handed (lvl 89), Heavy armor (lvl 70 I think), Destruction (lvl 49), Smithing (lvl 43). Leveling up Smithing is a total joke which needs to be fixed (you can reach lvl 100 in a few minutes by crafting iron daggers).
I have completed 44 'labeled' quests (the non-miscellaneous ones). I really like this 'radiant story' thing (that tool Bethesda created to generate random quests, which aren't the same from one game to another). They often are Fedex missions (go fetch this, bring that to my buddy), or slaughter missions (go kill everyone in that cave, please I beg you), but not always (infiltrate this, investigate on that). And still, those quests are great for roaming the land, and exploring.

And another nice touch is, you can't do everything in your first run. Most RPG games (and other) nowadays are like this, but still. Ah, the lulz.

16 hours of play here, and I'm at lvl 17, with one-handed and blocking up at about 55, and heavy armour at about 40. Smithing is something I haven't really tried all that much, apart from improving some weapons and armour. I find alchemy pretty hard these days, I get a lot of failed potions. Perhaps those recipes are inevitable after all.

Those short miscellaneous quests are fantastic, I think. If I fire the game up but don't have much time to play, I can do a quest like that in a flash.

Been on Black Ops and Red Dead Redemp. of late. Far too easy to go galloping off the top of hills in the latter, but it's always hilarious for some reason so no real problem!

Red Dead Redemption is one of the best games to come out in the last couple years. I want to pick up the game of the year edition so I can finally beat Undead Nightmare.

I just realised I've completely missed the Guardian Stones outside the intro dungeon. So I've effectively been leveling up too slowly for sixteen bloody hours :lame:

Isn't the effect permanent until overridden by activating another stone? Stuff like a 20% boost to gaining Combat skills... Come on.

Yes, I think it is permanent until overridden. When I went out of the intro dungeon, I activated these stones, and completely forgot about them. I've had the bonus without even knowing it :D

edit: I like CTDs when they're well-timed. I just had one, just when I'm starting to be hungry. It's like the computer was trying to tell me: "hey dumbass, stop playing your fucking game and go feed yourself already." Thanks CPU, you're a mother to me.

Don't you think Tolfdir (College of Winterhold) looks and sounds like Gandalf? And what about that guy close to the Jarl in Whiterun, who looks and sounds like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

It's a cheap Chinese clone of the game, looks like you bought Miryks.

Right? I think I've used my first fast travel after 20+ hours. There's so much to see and to discover.

I don't use fast travel. Totally kills the immersion.

Completely, but sometimes you just want to get somewhere ASAP. For instance, when you just finished emptying a mine of all its inhabitants and valuables, and need to stockpile everything in your house... which is at the other end of the map.

60 hours, level 32. One-handed (lvl 97), Heavy armor (81), Destruction (62), Smithing (82, as I said the mechanic is broken right now and will probably be patched). I'm slowly becoming a noodzdamn badass. IIRC, they said having made leveling much slower after lvl 50 because you're basically über-powerful at that level anyway (that remains to be seen...)

Completed 56 labeled quests, and have at the moment 9 listed labeled quests and 44 miscellaneous ones. Forty-four. Ha! You gotta love this. Lots of glitches though, but nothing game-breaking so far. Some of the side quests are pretty epic! And regarding the main quests, ahem, well, I'm still just after having said hello to the Greybeards. But really, Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3... you don't play Bethesda games for the MQ!

Some of the side quests could have been games on their own. So much thought went into them, obviously. Amazing shit.

Also, the music. Awesome. I love when some epic music starts and you realize that "oh no, some huge shit is about to happen!".

A fortnight? That's great: the 1.2 patch comes in two weeks for consoles, and a bit later for the PC. You're going to play an even better Skyrim!

I've heard that the EZq version is way glitchier than the Xbox or PC ones.
