They can get pretty intense. Frontiers is just Texas Chainsaw Massacre: French Nazi edition, but that's really quite alright.

Inside was pretty harrowing, but I felt bad for the screenwriters wanting to keep it all in one location AND have a body-count, because I found the amount of people who appeared at that woman's house improbable/silly. That last shot, though. Woof.

And I wish that I went into Matyrs knowing nothing about the torture aspect (Spoilers! There's a torture element to the movie), because it would have made the hard-right turn the movie takes more effective. Also, Stage (or is it phase?) Four.

I just rewatched City of God, which is still great, and for the first time saw Dracula AD 1972, which placed a bunch of Ramesses samples for me, so that was nice. I also watch In a Glass Cage, which was...unsettling. The cyclical nature of the child abuse/murder got to me the most, I think. Also, that movie looked like dirt in the best way possible.

Billy Madison

Chris Farley is the best part of this movie. The scene with him yelling at the kids/getting pissed off on the bus is classic. I had to rewind it 3 times. Fuck is that funny.

Frontier(s) reminded me a lot of that shitty hostel movie that came out a few years ago but way better.. Martyrs just didn't do it for me.. and my reaction to the last scene of inside was about that same haha, I usually don't get to worked up about gore in movies and shit but that part was pretty intense
