I agree with you, imo this is more classic than The Spectre Within. Excellent album and the review is spot on, I just love Arch's voice on this album. Ray Alder may be a better singer, with more range and color, but Arch's style fitted the album perfectly. It remind me of a lesser Midnight from Crimson Glory.

I find the vocals to be somewhat annoying at times, but he still sings a nice vocal line and of course the riffs are classic.

My favorite Fates Warning album and in my opinion their best! John Arch sounds like Dickinson at times.

I really didn't like this album. Just nothing stood out on it, even after hearing it a half dozen times.

This is probably one of the best albums of all time. Truly unique and incapable of being matched or copied.

Yeah, its a good album. You've gotta love Fata Morgana, the fellow has a truly unique voice. It deserves a classic status that is if Khelek is done reviewing Marilyn Manson albums.
