The last Gamma album I like :dio:. My fav is the predecessor, closely followed by Land of the Free. I never got into the first stuff with Scheepers as vocalist.

It's pretty rad so far. Good first impression for the band. :dio:

Listening to three albums that are classical Persian music. Mystical, soothing, great musicianship.

Absolutely, dude. The man that plays the setar is called Hossein Alizadeh. Here is the picture of the instrument and the man behind it.

Any work in particular you recommend?
is it something along the lines of Karl Sanders solo albums?

Oh yes. He uses the instrument. Alizadeh produces quality music so whatever you listen to does him justice. Listen to some pieces with tar and setar by Hossein Alizadeh, the instrument ney by Hossein Omumi and percussions by Mohammad Qavi-Helm; he plays the tombak. There is also the Santoor or santur which you should check out by Faramaz payvar. You should also check out the ney I mentioned with Hassan Nahid playing it. Also check out the Tar instrument by Hoashang Zarif and Ahmad Ebadi.
