Absolutely love that album.

2 good tracks (2 & 5), the rest is nice wallpaper music...

I think you have to be in a very specific state of mind to fully enjoy that album. It definitely has more than two tracks to enjoy. It's very much meditative and contemplative music.
Wall-paper music? It's funny how you say that considering what you listen to sometimes. A good example is Bob Marley, among other things!

Excellent Melodic Death Metal!

Actually, wallpaper music is not something to dismiss. And even less nice wallpaper music. This kind of music is preferable to the neighbors' telly or the sounds of traffic on the street.

Well, that's not the best description of this music at all considering how mystical and contemplative it is; but I suppose in the utter depths of your statement I see a glimpse of your point in one way or another.

Oxymoron that it often seems these days, I'll call that album "good melodeath".

Listened to (nearly all of) the new Decapitated on the way to work today. It's going to be controversial... just a step on the wrong side of groovy, like Organic H. as played by Meshuggah if their guitarists were lobotomized. Need a lot more listens, but first impressions lean towards the  .

I checked out some tunes using the onboard SoundMAX 48Khz card. Not awful, but definitely worse. Wednesday can't get here
fast enough.

I can't wait to hear the Odyssea album in near hi-fi. :dio:

Holy motherfuck. There is hope for progressive metal.

I finally have the opportunity to hear this. Tis good, but somehow I expected more. I think I just don't like Symphony X anymore, and just have to face it.
