It depends of what you know of King Crimson.
Obviously, if you have never heard a full album, Red and In the Court of the Crimson King is the way to go.
If you have, The Great Deceiver is the best live package KC has ever released. I'm not sure it's the best way to try to get into KC though... Maybe a little too much for starters...

Oh no. I'm a huge fan of KC but I have always been avoiding live albums due to their quality. Yesterday I heard No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith by Motorhead and learned that I should have more live albums in my collection and what better way to start than with KC. That's what I thought about the Great Deceiver... the play-list is very good and I just had a feeling that this might be a better live album by them. Cheers.

Okay, so Great Deceiver will make you drool.
