Monsters - Not bad. I liked the low-budget feel, worked well for the points it was trying to make.

The Town - Pretty good. Ben Affleck's by far a better director than he is actor.

I've heard Thor was pretty bad, lacking character development and motivation and all that.

Character development? Motivation? It's Thor, not Robert bloody Altman. As long as he swings a fuckoff huge hammer around and Antony Hopkins gets some good lines, it'll do its job.

I don't think it can be as bad as Sucker Punch.

Good points Zaddy!

Sucker Punch was awesome. Vanessa Hudgeons and Emily Browning... Mile long drool.

Why would you cast Kat Dennings and have her chest covered up the whole movie? It boggles the mind!!

I saw Thor too. It's silly, mindless entertainment.

the problem with Thor is that you never care what's going on. all the fight scenes end before they even get started, and all the while you're sitting there wondering why you care. Corny and pointless love story, corny acting, lame fight scenes, yeah it's not that great. what's more upsetting is two of the preivews on before Thor, Green Lantern and Captain America, look like the same pointless crap.

I remember a few years back when super hero/comic book movies were good and worth getting excited over.

I thought it was. Probably wouldn't bother seeing it again, though.
