oh shit

Having the song fade out as Paul Masdival comes in is like having your dick ripped off during climax. :(

Look at that guest list! It's like every band I fucking love.

Duplantier kills that. So good. Oh my god umm Masdival why would you cut him off? I'm like sonically impressed and it was beautiful but I don't think I liked it.

Wow, this is going to be amazing. If I only buy two albums this year, it would be this and Ghost.

I liked the song but it didn't really sink in and not gonna listen to it more than once before I can hear the full album.

oh god when the screams come in during Praise the Lowered.

Definitely getting a lump in my throat from the first couple minutes of The Mighty Masturbator.

Melody at 2:10 is familiar but can't pinpoint from where. (Edit: It's from Numbered) Song also has the "boom-shabow-bow" thing from Ziltoid, and Infinite Waltz

The New Black is awesome. Want this.

Edit: This is so much more laid back than I expected :lame:

Pucciato screaming WE PRAISE SATAN is pretty awesome. Worth 16 minutes? Possibly not.

Been listening to this thing for like a week now and I like it quite a bit. Can't wait to see what he does with ghost.

Listened to Ghost while walking my doggie tonight. Sounds like forest nymph lullabies imo. Love it.

from an interview with metalsucks

Quote:
I remember, for example, that Nothing’s Shocking by Jane’s Addiction changed my life, man. I loved it. Just changed my world.

Awesome.

And Ritual [de lo Habitual, Jane’s Addiction’s second album] changed my world. Then when I heard Porno For Pyros [singer Perry Farrell's post-Jane’s Addiction project], I was like, “What the fuck?!” It, like, pissed me off. The thing that I relied upon to provide me that element of my sonic world is now this other thing which I don’t relate to. Then, in hearing Porno For Pyros, I recognize that those elements were always present in Jane’s Addiction, so all of the sudden I don’t like Jane’s Addiction anymore. [laughs]

I'm glad I'm not the only person whose had that last part happen.

After hearing the first two songs from Deconstruction (and saving the rest for when I buy the album), I'm surprised at how NOT in-your-face it is. Very interesting indeed.

Underwhelming, until you get to the last three songs. Was wondering why people were saying it's his heaviest, and then POW! Needs more listens, certainly.
