The guy who did Blood is in Radiohead. I think I just preferred that The Road's music didn't interfere with the film's environment. Blood's worked for that film but it would've been oppressive in The Road. The Road is just a wasteland through and through. I don't think it would have been appropriate. I like that it was underwhelming, I guess.

The Road. Good but they could've done more with it. Some shots were absolutely breathtaking and often reminded me of Fallout. On the other hand, the music (by Nick Cave) was very underwhelming.

It needed music like There Will Be Blood. Imagine how intense The Road would of been with that kind of music.

Yeah music in The Road was kind of sappy. Also should've started with father/son relationship and saved the suicide stuff for the end/middle.

I think sappy describes it really well. I just expected Nick Cave to do a lot better.

The Following - Liked it a lot. Same director as Memento.

I should watch The Following and Memento again because I really liked them but it's been 5+ years since I've seen them.

Whatever Works - Took me two attempts, fell asleep the first time, but on a second go this was better than I first thought. Larry David is a natural for espousing Woody Allen's philosophy, and the whole moral tale aspect of it worked well. Modern Allen is very, very, very hit and miss, but this was one of the hits.

Charlotte Gainsbourg and Kiefer Sutherland in the same movie. Riiight. This movie HAS to be super-weird.

Oh well, there's always Kirsten Dunst to look at.

Couldn't give a shit about the actors really, but I normally like Lars Von Trier's films.

Looks like it'll be yet another hatefest, hopefully this time without any labia mutilation. The sci-fi stuff is almost guaranteed to be barely part of the plot.

Saw VI - Fun but silly entertainment. Despite the guy who plays Hoffman being a bloody awful actor, I did find myself rooting for him. All the backstory's getting a bit dull now, hope Saw VII does something different.
