Cynic has basically dropped the harsh vox. And I would put Kylesa's new over the new PTH I think. I don't know thought. It's so weird that I've listened to the new PTH so damn much since it has come out but I can't say I love love it. I really enjoy it but I have this weird relation to it. I think in that respect you're right about it being that fun 80s album. It's great and fun and I laugh slash smile singing along with it and rocking out but I don't love it like other stuff. It's just a fun album. Which isn't a knock by any means; it's just different.

Protest the Hero are best current "light" metal band because Scurrilous is the best metal album. Also I think it has a lot of parts that go beyond fun into srs emotion territory. Like Tongue-Splitter, that song is so fucking good.

Been listening to this non-stop. I recommended it to my friend who really only listens to 80's-era heavy metal and classic rock, and he really likes it. I really think that "tr00" metal people could/should be able to appreciate this...but maybe I'm stupid.

got the album during lunch today. I've listened to it up to three times so far
and I'm enjoying it immensely. So far there are some tracks that stick out more than others and Moonlight is one of those.

Moonlight is my favorite track at the moment.

I don't mean to post so much in one thread, but this is literally the only thing I've been listening to...forgot that I had the same addiction to the first two albums when I first heard them, too. I don't want to over-listen, but this is just so good and awesome and stuff.

It's funny because I'm not really into Moonlight at all and not nearly as much as Hair Trigger or Tongue Splitter or Sex Tape (my favorites). I would listen to this constantly if I didn't refuse to do so and stop myself.

Incredibly necessary! What band is Reign of Terror about? I'm going to feel stupid. Love Sex Tapes so much.

The consensus in the comments on the article seems to be Propaghandi.

I don't get this band. I'm not saying they're bad nor anything of the sort, I just don't get it.
