You've got to be kidding me....I so wanna hear this but I'm at work right now and YouTube is blocked here! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH.

If anyone has an mp3 link to this that would be much appreciated.

Edit: Just reading some of the comments on MS, apparently this has been known since basically the album came out.

Omg, omg, omg! I'm listening now...

Edit: Quite disappointing to be honest. Sometimes it fits, sometimes it doesn't. But still, these guys are geniuses. I can't wait to hear what they come up with next.

This is awesome and very smart but it is old news. It was a huge deal back then.

That article is full of over-the-top Tool fellatio. But this is still fucking awesome. I got chills at the 'HIIIIIIGH IS THE WAAAAY BUT OUUR EYES ARE UPON THE GROUND" part. This is just too great.

The article is ridic and Tool fanboys annoy me but this track is pretty cool.

Yeah. Didn't this get discussed at the time of the album's release, and everyone concluded it was a coincidence?

No idea, but a lot of the commenters on metalsucks made the same conclusion.

I think 10000 Days is a brilliant enough album without needing this, anyways. Encouraged to put it on now.

I feel like the parts that overlap in Wings for Marie/10,000 Days do in the same way that a repeated part (eg chorus) from any song would overlap with itself. It's neat how Viginiti Trees goes with the first part of the song though.

Okay I finally got around to listening and that video has actually done it wrong. It has Wings For Marie at the beginning and Viginti Tres at the end. It's supposed to be the other way around as the original article from Cracked.com indicates.

THIS is how it's supposed to be played:

I think it works pretty well with Viginti Tres but when it gets to Wings it sounds kinda weird.

+1 Second best Tool album behind Lateralus IMO.

Don't think the overlaping was planned though.

10,000 Days is my fav Tool album. Just listened to it and remembered why. Aenima was creeping up on it for a bit.

What about that thing that supposedly Lateralus fits together when the tracks are played in a funky order? That's something I'm gonna try.

It had something to do with Fibonacci. But I know someone who tried it and he said the tracks didn't flow better at all. He might have done it wrong though, I wasn't there at the time.

The order I found was 6, 7, 5, 8, 4, 9, 13, 1, 12, 2, 11, 3, 10. tbh, it does seem like Parabol and Parabola would make better openers than The Grudge, but it seems like a weird idea that they would intentionally have the album's tracks out of order. If it flows better this way, why wouldn't they just have this order of songs to begin with? Oh well. It's something to try, and I think I'm on a bit of a Tool kick anyway.

While I do enjoy 10,000 Days quite a lot, I just think Lateralus is godly.

Things like this are why people hate Tool fans.

 Is that in response to what I just said? Trust me I'm not one of those crazy Tool fans that think Maynard is Jesus or something. Perhaps I shouldn't have said "godly." :P

Heh, actually directing it at the thread as a whole and LOTN's trying to turn Lateralus into the Da Vinci Code. I, too, love Tool a lot, one of my favourite bands, but come the hell on.

It's all in good fun. I'm not claiming that they're mad genius messiahs or anything, it's just something to try for the hell of it.
