Yeah..theyve been having this coming for a while, this album sucks and is repetitive on all levels, so I'll just stick to their first two albums..yeah not much more to say other than they've been kicking a dead horse since 2006.

+1 (until about season 3, since which they've been, to quote stevelovesmoonspell, kicking a dead horse.)

Oh, and I'm never going near this album - I just read the review to see what Goat had to say about it (I wasn't disappointed :D)

Yeah, me too. Waste of a perfectly good album cover.

This band is total shit.

Agreed. My newly deathcore-obsessed friend should like it, though. Then again, before deathcore, he was obsessed with Slipknot.

Even Slipknot is better than this.

95% of everything you post is trash. Anyone else picked up on this yet?

Haha, yes dimmu owns the acacia strain. Look at the scores, 89 on dimmus last. In fact pretty much every dimmu album is in the 80's or higher and then there's bands that write this boring ass shit.

Considering the fact Dimmu Borqueer's last album is nothing but a mess of power chords and the occasional solo, both bands utilize the same power chugging riffing. Both bands have something in common and that is they now suck

yeah except the entire orchestra behind it all and great use of keyboards which was the whole point of the album. The guitars are just part of it, not the forefront anymore.

The female vocals on gateways are outstanding to as are Garm's on the 8th or 9th track, I can't remember what the tracks called.

Dimmu Borgir does not suck, this is a fact. They are one of the best bands in metal and have been for a long time and put on a killer live show.

Yeah, because guitars and heavy riffing shouldn't be at the forefront of a metal band. Dimmu have gone from a mediocre quasi-black metal outfit to a queer symphonic deathcore band with robotic vocals. At least the Acacia Strain put out two albums before going to shit, Dimmu Borgir has put out an entire decades worth of dingleberries.
