Nice writeup, Erik! I'm now even more psyched to hear this than I already was, which was considerably much, since I love the motherfuck out of Symphony X.

We'll see.

This is easily the best of the 3. Nice review, I'd probably give the album about an 85 myself but I really did not like much about the first 2 albums, especially the 2nd album, never grew on me. This one caught me by surprise. I actually like every single song on the album.. This will be in my top 15 this year for sure.

Meh, from what I've heard so far this is possibly the weakest of the three.. I for one, thought Judgement Day was awful as was the music video. Jesus.

Both singers sounds good but eh, the song-writing is so-so and outdated. Two albums was enough.

Agreed. Both Lande and Allen rocks but the bland songwriting is totally disappointing. Not a single exciting moment on this record.

What I've heard off the first two records was pretty weak. I love "Silent Rage" though. The rest came off really formulaic and uninspired. So if they are trying to pay tribute hard rock bands of the past, they succeeded. It's like Yngwie without the cool riffs and awesome lead work. It's okay though.
