Fail (as always).

Other than the song Screaming For Vengeance, I never understood the appeal of Judas Priest.

They always sounded a bit 3rd rate and always seemed to be trying in to cash in on what ever trend was going on at the time.

Good to see my predictions about this thread came true.

Iron Maiden sucks? Really?

If you don't like them, that's cool, but saying they suck is just ridiculous.

See you can't have threads like this because it always ends up being this band sucks and that band sucks and it becomes an all out flame fest.

They do suck, but I won't deny their influence on this music, that would be pretty stupid.

Please explain how they suck.

Or, continue to add to the stupidity.

So are they bad musicians? Bad song writers? Bad live performers?

You can't just say one of the most hailed bands in metal suck without giving any reasons why, especially on a metal website. If you said The Black Eyed Peas suck, I wouldn't press the issue, but we're talking about Maiden here.

So, explain your position, or gtfo.

I don't know, Hammerfall has been better, so has Judas Priest, Iced Earth, Motorhead.

I just don't feel a lot of emotion in much of Iron Maiden's music. I think they spoil their own mood sometimes.

I don't see why anyone should have to do that when no one else will make the same concessions for anyone else.

I don't like sacred cows myself.

Of course you have compensated for the different popularity levels of the bands, right?

We're metalheads, of course we have sacred cows, like headbanging and blastbeats and guitar solos. And, coincidentally, Iron Maiden. It is Steve and Adveser who suck.

I've never got into ELP. I like most other prog bands of the time just not able to get into them.

Mercyful Fate is a band I never got into, solely because of King Diamond. I know that it has been said many times before, but those vocals just ruin it for me.

Did Adveser just say that Hammerfall has been better than Iron Maiden? I want whatever he's on.

No. That is the point though. Everything sucks except for the obscure stuff no one's heard of.

But yeah, I guess if you divided by total albums sold you would get a percentage.

I'm pretty shocked no one has ever said UJR sucks...ever on the internet.

I think on something like that, the numbers are telling.

Doesn't work on any non-unique band name. You can't do it for testament for instance.

Well, now that you've settled the matter through scientific inquiry, I guess Maiden does suck. This is some great insight though. Hey Zad, instead of giving reviews scores, why don't we just list the number of "google sucks" they get? Much more objective.

You guys are reading that like it's my opinion. It is what it is, nothing more or less.

It isn't any more objective that anything else out there. I was curious. It's true. Everything basically sucks because there are more people that hate something than like it no matter what it is.
