Is hilarious.

Post your ridiculous tags, if you have them.

Napalm's genre tagging is pretty ridiculous at times.

I delete all the tags immediately and re-do them to work with my system, so I almost never see them, but I have seen some really stupid genres in there at times myself.

It is usually pretty accurate for the names and albums. Who cares about the genre?

I've had some really obscure stuff end up being tagged as like jazz stuff from 1994 I've never even freakin' heard of. I'll post up next time it happens to me.

Sometimes I get MP3s that won't let me edit the tags. This is infuriating.

probably because they are APE tags and not 2.1/2.2 tags. More likely though the files themselves are marked as "read only"

use MP3Tag, it will overwrite the windows settings if you don't know how to manually make them writeable.

Speaking of which, you have to name albums like "1985 - 01. Power Windows" or "1985 - 01 - Power Windows" if you want them to display correctly in winamp. I've been doing this for about 8 years now. I even switched to mediamonkey to get around it for a brief time, but went back when I was using workarounds for the other two dozen problems that prog. created.

My first thought, but not the case.

Will try this, cheers.

This should be my stance, I know, it's the only sane one, but I'm a bit of a neat freak in terms of my MP3 collection. Everything gets it's own folder, all the albums are titled, named, dated, etc properly.
