I seriously hope the driver is going to jail for a long time. He should have been careful. Too easy to get a CDL these days.

I haven't posted in a very, very long time, but now I felt I had to.

That's a really stupid thing to say since you actually don't know anything about the accident and the wider, possibly unknown context in which it took place.

What a great way to break a 3-year silence for me.

RIP Steve

I met Steve a couple of times, him and Leo were regulars at my pub hangout. Brilliant guys, and a massive, massive loss to the musical world.

The bad news just keeps coming. First Peter Steele, then RJD, Nergal diagonised with cancer and now this. I haven't listened to these guys, but heard quite a bit about them. RIP mate.

I read the article, so it appears I have exactly as much information as you do. A guy was driving wrecklessly in bad conditions and crashed into a bunch of motorcyclists. Simple enough.

Wow, unbelievable how many iconic metal singers have died this year. RIP.

Adveser, where exactly does it say the truck driver was reckless? I don't see that anywhere.

The news posted here says: "On the slippery road, the trailer of a passing truck began to skid. The driver attempted evasive action but his trailer clipped five of the motorcycles parked at the roadside"

I fail to see where you found recklessness.

I'm making the case a truck driver can't get into an accident without it being reckless.

It's called being a professional. If I electrocute someone on stage it's manslaughter because could have taken the precautions for it not to happen. A commercial truck driver killing some because he couldn't control his rig is on equal ground. Responsibility to the responsible.

Seriously? There are literally hundreds of things, that are beyond the control of a driver, that could cause his/her vehicle to crash (including rain). Sometimes being careful simply isn't good enough, and whether or not he followed proper safety precautions has yet to be determined.

Fine. I won't be the one driving fast enough for that to occur.

This "anything can go wrong" theory is a really convenient excuse to me. If you wanna drive a 100 ton truck, you'd better be damn sure you know everything that can go wrong, instead of, you know, killing someone because your truck doesn't have to obey the laws of physics. I also take it that people posting moronic memes instead of their own opinion shows they don't have anything relevant to add.

I never said "anything can go wrong." What I actually said was that certain things can go wrong that are beyond the control of the driver. That's not a theory, it's a fact of living in an unpredictable world. Do you know the proper safety precautions to follow? Do you know what this driver was doing at the time of the accident? I'm guessing the answer is no. Therefore your argument lacks any sort of evidence, not to mention it's a hair's breadth away from being a logical fallacy.

RIP

Just another sad day for rock/metal music.

Not only grab Lip Service, also grab Human Zoo, Domino Effect and all the others.

Another talented singer taken away too early...

I see it has got a 97 score on this site. Will check out some stuff from them on youtube. I've also found the name Gotthard to be odd. Reminds me of a hard on.
