Love that show. A blind person would love it for the great music alone.

I have to admit that it's a genre I usually don't listen to. I gave it a shot because it has a connection with The Wire and I absolutely love that show. Nevertheless I enjoyed it a lot, and as you said, the music was great.

Watching "Bunk" play a different role makes me miss Mcnulty though.

It saddens me that I think I'm the only who watches the awesomeness that is Burn Notice.

Oh, and no joke sadly I fell for The Jersey Shore. Just the shit they say is so fucking hilarious when I just turn off my brain. Five minutes later, the absurdity of what someone just said on that show hits me and I die laughing. "Einstein needs to come back and redesign his theory of gravity around her nipples" in describing how a roommate's shirt clings to her breasts despite being how small it is. I loled when before they go out someone asked her if she was going to put a shirt on so they can leave. I swear it cracks me up and I know it's trashy but don't judge.

agreed, The Jersey Shore is hilarious. just to think there are actually people like that. this one episode, they group went out
but 2 of the guys returned home earlier. back at the bar, they get into a fight and call the guys at home, who rush out enforcer-style, one of them shouts "we need The Situation here!", and i almost passed out laughing. i wish i can get into a situation where i really need "The Situation" anywhere.

with the girl from Black Books? it was funny, but never hilarious imo.

I haven't seen Black Books so I have no idea which girl you're talking about. If it's the blonde who also played in Coupling, then yes.

And I have a soft spot for this kind of humour.

Anyone else into this Louie thing?

Good stuff - Seinfeldy standup/daily life mix, but very different in tone and very funny. Always manages to surprise you, too, not predictable at all - monologues on the meaning of the word 'faggot' and Ricky Gervais as an annoying doctor are just two of the delights awaiting you.

saw the first episode after i read this today and quite liked it, will catch one or two more this week.

i love it too, but damn it season 5 had a lot of ups and downs. featured some of the best episodes ("the playbook" and "girls vs suits" are two of my favourites) and some of the worst in the series.

I can see where you're coming from. Admittedly, I've only seen two episodes so far, but in those two episodes not an awful lot has happened. But the music and the characters draw you in from the beginning.

as I attempt to watch Treme, I expect them to start investigating Avon Barksdale or something.

 Know what you mean, I do miss some of The Wire's characters like Jay Landsman and Bubbles. Still, good show is a good show.

Except for the fact that the guy is a dickhead. I prefer the dorky endearing antique scrapper guys.

I think the fact that he's a dickhead makes it even more entertaining.

Watching American Pickers right now, actually, don't like it as much as Pawn Stars but still a fun watch.

So yeah whoever it was that kept going on about Dexter the last time I was here; you're right! The odd dumb subplot aside it's terrific stuff.

I also made the questionable decision to try and watch Enterprise from start to finish. Season 2 has been an uphill battle alright.

Finished season 1 of both Rome and Spartacus: Blood and Sand.

Started season 2 of Rome.

No nude Atia in season 2

What did you think of Caesar's fall? I thought it was very well handled. They followed Plutarch's account almost exactly, and avoided the Shakespeare's theatrics of 'Et Tu Bruti".

to tell you the truth, i'm no history buff so I really don't know how it all went down. but I think it was done well, and at the same time I was pissed it happened.

season 2 has been awesome so far, but the lack of nude Atia is a downer.

I just liked that they showed Caesar and Brutus staring at each other as he died. No need for some bullshit words to spoil the meaning--great job...and yes, I was pissed to.

Yeah, the beginning of season 2 is killer. Like when Antony is running for his life--crazy shit!

Even them getting Caesar to try and cover up his face before dying was a great touch. I loved Rome (Spartacus, fuck that shit :lame: ) and it gives me great hope for Game of Thrones being a success.

I wondered if I just imagined the lack of nude Atia in season 2. Wonder what the deal with that was. I still had to watch James Purefoy's naked arse every 20 minutes, no fair!
