proof that much of the world doesn't know anythign about music is that Yahoo musci had Pig destoyer's genre at one point listed as Death metal/hardcore punk

Bolt Thrower is grindcore since when?

Anyways, if you want to consider them that I guess I like Bolt Thrower and early Carcass... but it pretty much ends there.

I wonder, before dismissing grind as a whole, had you heard anything other than possibly Pig Destroyer's one single, perhaps a few tracks of early Napalm Death, and maybe three Carcass songs?

bolt thrower are my 2nd favourite death band (after morbid angel!)
and theyre from birmingham! BIRMINGHAM! GODDAMMIT!

I picked up a CD by a band called Deathbound from some torrent site.. it was really fun death/grind. Are they familiar to anyone else?

I like Total Fucking Destruction. They have a really crusty old school type of sound.

I heard a track by a band called Koreisch, who seemed to play some slightly avant-gardy techy type of grind. I couldn't find any other record of theirs other than the one track I heard on a terrorizer cd. But they were pretty cool. Anyone else know them?

I also like Agoraphobic Nosebleed but this is more out of novelty value.

Other notable brummie bands include Black Sabbath and Judas Priest.

I guess you could say Birmingham is about the most metal city in the entire world.

Discordance Axis. Get the re-released second LP, Jouhou. Nostromo isn't bad either.
