Yeah I'd dislike the Death Angel too. So I shouldn't listen to music at all times?

That seems to be the conclusion yes. Listen to music before the task, rather than during the task.

Nergal has Leukemia. Can't undergo chemo, past that point, and has to go through with a bone marrow transplant. Behemoth is basically done for now? I don't know much about the recovery process for leukemia. Anyone?

Yeah, not good. It all rests on finding a compatible donor, chances of which range from tough to impossible. Poor guy.

Same thing killed saxophone legend Michael Brecker a couple of years back... he couldn't find a donor. Good luck Nergal

That's horrible news. I hope he gets a transplant, I really really do.
Hopefully his wife will be a match.

Behemoth was never one of my favorite DM bands, but it always sucks to see such a musical talent be stricken with such a terrible illness so young.

Heh, but this is the General News thread, not a candlelit vigil! Start a new thread for that.

This really sucks Seeing Behemoth in a crowded but small bar was probably the best gig I've ever seen :dio:

I don't think so. I think they're just on hold until Nergal gets better.

I think having leukemia fucks up your immune system so going to concerts and festivals would become dangerous, no? To me, this looks bleak as fuck for the band. It could take years for Nergal to rebuild his strength and energy to maintain 45 minute shows.

I just hope he survives and can go back to his more relaxed potential career as a museum curator.

Anything additional from Behemoth at this point will be gravy, and a miracle.

Totally. The guy is like a hero to me. From the history background to being an incredible guitarist to being in a relationship with a hot pop star the man is the man.

Now I am sure some of those nutcases in Poland will claim this was 'God's Judgment'. How do I support him?

Hah, his fiancee got charged under Poland's 'blasphemy laws' too, From Wiki:

In May 2010, the Warsaw prosecutor's office charged Doda with the crime of "offending religious sensibilities" for remarking in a year-ago television interview that she believed more in dinosaurs than she did in the Bible because "it is hard to believe in something written by people who drank too much wine and smoked herbal cigarettes."[5] If convicted, she faces up to two years in prison under Poland's blasphemy laws.
