Perfect Blue. When I watch Satoshi Kon films I feel like I'm watching something profound and amazing but more than anything I feel confused.

12 Rounds - I quite liked the baddy in this, didn't deserve to get taken down by a blank-faced lug like the hero.

saw The Expendables last night, pretty good but don't expect an action version of Ocean's 11 or something.

it's mostly Stallone, Jet Li and Jason Statham, Bruce Willis appears for maybe all of 2 minutes, everyone else has their moments. first half is boring but i guess makes for character development, second is a bloodbath and kicks ass.

there are three potentially really good fight scenes that they kind of ruin, imo, between stallone and steve austin, steve austin and randy couture, and jet li and some other antagonist dude. there is shaky camera syndrome and in the middle of the fights they keep cutting away to what's happening elsewhere in the battle. i know that fights aren't isolated, but COME ON DON'T FUCKING RUIN THEM AND LET US WATCH!

it's still funny to see Dolph Lundgren try to speak with an american accent.

definitely worth watching, though.

Ali G in da House

It had its moments. There's not a lot to say about it really. It's funny for 30 minutes, then it gets tiresome.

3:10 to Yuma (Bale/Crowe). Not as good as I remember it.

The Expendables - WIN. The Arnie/Sly/Willis scene was :D. Needed more Eric Roberts, who was a fucking awesome baddie, and Charisma Carpenter's inclusion was clearly an afterthought but led to more awesome Stathanity, so no problem overall. Even Jet Li's failure to learn proper English was good due to the near-constant midget jokes. Very enjoyable.

Oh fuck it. I'm watching this one after my exams. Even if it means I have to go all by myself.

I love Will Ferrel but The Other Guys is not that great. It's just getting old now.

The Other Guys - Funny, but I seriously can remember maybe 3 jokes from it a week after seeing it. A "Laugh and forget" kind of movie I guess.

Dinner for Schmucks -  I haven't seen the original (which is apparently better) but I laughed my ass off.
