I don't think so, unless anybody more informed has heard otherwise.

OK, so I've only briefly checked it out, but the new Drudkh seems to be an eyebrow-raiser. Riffs are more melodic and sort of post-black, definitely different to Microcosmos. Potential :omfg:

Because quasi-nationalist Drudkh made them so much cooler  Unless you're complaining about it as a style of music rather than a theme. I don't know.

I meant I'd rather they not go all WITTR (not that I dislike WITTR) in their musical style. If you ever looked at their myspace, they are friends with WITTR on the top of their list, as well as with a ton of great bands: Negura Bunget, Primordial, Moonsorrow, Emperor, Enslaved.

Besides, I am trying to coin the term 'green metal', and thus use it at every opportunity.

Rhys: Cover art is real. I actually quite like it.

Zad: you really are torturing some of us here with a hint about the new album!

You could call it green and black metal but then it sounds like a fairtrade chocolate bar.

As I was lecturing Goat on yesterday, I prefer the term Real Black Metal for bands like Panopticon/Skagos/Petrychor, as the colour black has been associated with anarchism far longer than the 1980s.

I'm only winding you up. But I do really think that. But I'm only winding you up.

I'l try and give the Drudkh a proper listen over the course of today. You'll have to wait a week for the review though, no way I'll get it done for today.

Don't get me started on that shit band. I was referring to anarcho-black metal which is 20x more awesome than some hacks in the '80s no matter how influential they may or may not have been.

Shit man, I don't like Venom either, but that just sounds like you would punch them on the nose if you could.

I think an OG Black Metal movement had better start, to preserve our underground culture from these anarchist invaders!
