I can't decide, they are all great in their own ways. So I vote for a 3 way tie.

Yeah, that's a tough vote. I picked Iced Earth just because I've been listening to them longer.

I ended up choosing Blind Guardian mainly because I was litning to them as I read it but god there both incredible Blind Guardian and Iced Earth there both great man change my vote to both

I vote Guardian. They're basically my favourite power metal band and have yet to release a bad album. Iced Earth is also great, but they have some weak spots in their career (Dark Saga, Horror Show) and just generally are nowhere near as good as Blind Guardian (but Stormrider rules... a lot). Demons and Wizards had a good debut album and the new one is all right, but their nowhere near the level of those two bands.

well iv only heard a hand full of demons and wizards songs but i think horror show was awesome(wolf, jack, dracula,dragonchild,etc.) and dark saga brought us one of the best songs ever violate and dont forget in the depths of hell is another good song. but ur right guardian is awesome and i think demons dont compare, they still got a long way to go :twisted: \ , , /

All three slay but I decided to roll with Iced Earth as they were the first modern power metal band I heard thus introducing me to a whole new world of awesome stuff so there is always a speacial place for them in my book. That and Alive In Athens still blows me away every time I hear it.

I haven't really been able to get into demons and wizards. Iced Earth and Blind Guardian are both amazing bands and i don't know if i could pick between them.

Demons and Wizards. I find both the albums more enjoyable than most Iced Earth or Blind Guardian.

It was a tough choice, but in the end, Blind Guardian prevailed, if only for "A Night At The Opera", which is my favorite Power Metal album ever.

I like Iced Earth but it doesn't give me the same feeling as Blind Guardian so I'll vote the bards...

ive only heard iced earth, so thats who i voted for.

Man you should really check out BG.

For me it would go like this.

1. Blind Guardian
2. Demons & Wizards
3. Iced Earth

I would like Iced Earth alot more if all their albums were on par with "Something Wicked..." I love that album.

have u not heard night of the stormrider? or horror show? i think horror show is awesoem and it was my first iced earth cd i ever bought, i bought alongside with dark sage so thats why dark saga doesnt compare, but still night of the stormrider is awesome along with horror show. but hey i almost forgot BURNT OFFERINGS, amazing.

Wow! I am actually shocked that more votes have gone to Blind Guardian. For me, Iced Earth's only bad albums are the first two and thier flaws are because of the vocalist. The singer on Night Of The Stormrider clearly being better than the one on Iced Earth, but those flaws were corrected with the Days Of Purgatory albums! The double album basically covered every song, but four or so from those first two releases.

But with Blind Guardian, a lot of their earlier releases are not very good to me. Mediocre at best. Now, they kick ass. I'll give them that, but their earlier stuff doesn't impress me much.

I like some of their earlier stuff more than their new stuff.
