I'd argue with that, lots of shrieky singers in the Thrash scene. If you can tell them all apart by sound, well, fair enough.

Same for the rest of it, I suppose so. Covers to me are fun even if they're not complete reinventions of the original.

I don't really like either vocals.

The Sepultura cover seemed to take something away from the guitarwork of the original, made it less complex and groovy. So the original.

As you can clearly see in this picture, she is black.

Still confused. Maybe I'm missing the famous subtleties of the legendary Belgian sense of humour.

Being serious, I don't know enough about Thrash, but I have heard enough old-school bands with shrieky vocals that make me think they're similar enough to be compared. Maybe when I'm as expert as you, I can give a name. No sweat.

through my thrash ventures, I have yet to find somebody similar to Baloff. I can find guys who sound like Mille or Schmier or Belladonna or Mustaine or Araya or Hetfield. But I can not think of one who sounds like Baloff.

thus making BBB even more awesome

 Yeah, cheers.

And @ DW, I don't know, guys like Martin Walkyier and Snake sound more unique than Baloff to me.

Baloff is at the same level as those 2 guys when it comes to thrashy uniqueness. There will bever be another Snake, or Martin, OR Baloff.

Yeah, I'm with Dev.

Just because those guys also have a distinctive sound, doesn't mean Baloff is any less unique himself. Man, I wish he'd recorded more.

Baloff was one of a kind.
My favorite from that era is still Cronos, though.
