Just got done watching Cube 2, total mindfuck of a movie, and nearly as good as the first one. Didn't go overboard with the stupid math problems that plagued the first movie, which is a great thing.

I might add that to the old watch list.

I don't really recommend watching the 3rd one, Cube Zero. The first two movies subtly reveal things about the Cube(s) that make you really think, but the third movie just blows all the secrets wide open, which makes it totally un-fun. Some of the death scenes in the third are the best in the series, though, and the ending is a total OMFG moment for fans of the original.

All this Cube talk made me want to go back and watch the first one. Good for what it is. Now I need to watch the 2nd and 3rd.

I remember hating Cube 2 when I watched it on the Sci-Fi channel years and years ago.

Black Dynamite, however, was fucking awesome.

Watched Hypercube. Didn't like it that much. Thought the acting was pretty bad. None of the characters seemed that freaked out in the beginning. Also, the little cube expanding death machine thingy was pretty lame. I'm gonna go ahead and watch Cube Zero just to finish off the trilogy, but I'm not expecting much.

Edit - Ok. Just watched Cube Zero. I thought it was much better than Hypercube, but not as good as the first. The one dude with the false eye was pretty annoying though.

Office Space. Thought I was in for a great comedy. Didn't laugh very much. Meh.

Office Space is a particular type of humour. It reminded me of Seinfeld, very situational.

Last night I watched The Boondock Saints, watching the second one right now. Fucking Billy Connolly is such a badass.

Yeah I guess it is a bit like Seinfeld, which I've never got around to much either. I don't like to dislike comedy, because laughing is fun, but that stuff usually won't fly.

Ip Man

A bit on the melodramatic side. It's okay though, because it's totally on the awesome side as well. Donnie Yen is an untouchable fist of kung-fu justice in this movie. It's great.

I love Seinfeld, but Office Space is not that great of a comedy. I loved it when I was younger and I watched it again a few months ago. I was very disappointed when I realised that it wasn't that as good as I'd remembered it. A lot of films are like that for me nowadays. Pulp Fiction comes to mind. What an insanely overrated film.

Macgruber.

Pretty disappointing. It's amazing that in a 90 minute movie, not once did it make me laugh as hard as the SNL skits do. There were definitely some  moments, but overall it was pretty meh.

Fantastic Mr Fox - Fantastic. I like the idea of a kid's style movie that's written for adults. Also very colourful.

Tokyo Sonata - Sad, absurd, touching, sometimes hilarious, got a little weird in the second half but never to the point that I stopped caring about the characters. Thoroughly enjoyed it. imo it handled middle-age father/husband alienation/powerlessness better than A Serious Man by being sadder, funnier and more realistic.

Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media.
Chickenhawk: The Men Who Love Boys (a docu on NAMBLA which was disturbing; it's on youtube if interested)
The Road, which was fucking epic/awesome.

The Road - Meh. Don't see what all the hype was about.

FFS, I've been meaning to see it but everyone says different things about it.
