What a horrible movie. The most overrated movie ever. 2/10

Why?

The acting was repulsive. How was Sandra Bullock even nominated?

her legs

That's only because Henrik Zetterberg is a guy!

Just saw Until the Light Takes Us.

Found it very absorbing although not especially illuminating. The most interesting thing was how different people came across:

Varg- kind of like a psychopath- but a very polite and eloquent one

Frost- extremely eccentric but also quite mild mannered.

Hellhammer- like an utter turd... really, I never realised he was quite such a douchebad.

Fenriz- just how you would imagine him from all his interviews

Abbath and Deimonaz- like they thought the entire thing was hilarious

Bruno - had a few amusing moments, but ultimately thumbs down.

Because it was the pc feel good movie of the year.

Isn't there a scene in which Bullock muses to the camera how she finds the boy "incredibly attractive" or some shit in front of her ineffectual panty waist country club hubby?
Figures.
Hollywood thrives on that bullshit.

Interesting, she felt the urge to adopt a black baby just recently...
orphaned black children: Hollywood's latest accessory de rigueur.

Black Dynamite - Hilarious. Unpredictable, tons of epic and quotable lines and also lots of great small stuff.

The Damned United - Michael Sheen owns shit up in a similar role as playing Frost in Frost/Nixon but with soccer instead of politics.

I'm a homophobe because I only found parts of Bruno funny? Jeez.

I watched it recently for the second time. Pure comedy all the way through.

I think my favourite part was how he paused and thought about the "going at it harder than three fat dudes over a slab of greasy chicken" analogy.

Interesting sci-fi / psychological thriller that has a neat premise, but in the end goes nowhere. But all the same, it was a sorta-fun watch. There's apparently both a sequel and a prequel so I might watch those next.

I loved the ending to that, originally. Never seen the others, apparently they're not good.

The second one was kinda cool. Third one is pure shit. I don't particularly like any of them any more, I loved the first one when I saw it like 5-6 years ago, but having seen much better films, I no longer find it that great.

The guy who made the first Cube film also made a film called Cypher which has the same type of atmosphere. I recommend it.

I have a soft spot for movies like Cube and the first Saw and I think it'd be really cool if a talented group of director/actors/writer/etc made an awesome one.

Agreed. I like Cube and the first Saw. Haven't seen the 5th and 6th, but they've been progressively getting worse, so I don't really feel the need.
