Oh come on now, it's not even unintentional. That film is not serious business, I have no doubt the creators knew exactly how silly it is and just like Crank it's intentionally over the top. I might even go as far as to call it misinterpreted, but hey it's just my view of it :wink:

imo those dudes had a good thing going with the first Crank but on Crank 2 and Gamer they didn't get the intentionally OTT action movie thing down as well. So yeah those two kinda sucked.

Didn't see Gamer but Crank 2 was really fucking awful. Crank didn't seem forced and that's what made it so good. Maybe it was just the first but I swear it didn't too retarded things only over the top things.

I love how I get yelled at for not thinking Will Ferrell is the funniest thing on earth, but y'all lose your senses of humour when anything mildly OTT is on. I'm with Zeth on this one.

Yeah. Crank 2 and Gamer were more like "oh hey people like us because we do ridiculous action movies, lets make them AS RIDICULOUS AS POSSIBLE" so they failed.

You know I love OTT action just as much as you, but seriously, Gamer was just filmed very poorly. It was one of those movies I can't stand where the shots last an average of half a second.

2012.

Not as bad as I was expecting, really, but some of the acting was horrible (Worst role of the U.S. President in any movie EVER, probably) and it really drags on toward the end. A fun watch though.

The best part about that movie is knowing that the version I watched was downloaded so I know that I am not helping the studio that made the fucking horrible movie called 2012.

I'm very tempted to rent Bio-Dome from Netflix, just to see how much of a Dumb And Dumber knock-off it really is.

Awwww, you just spoiled what sounds like it might've been a pretty funny joke. :P

Anyway, I rented both that and Iron Man from Netflix. Iron Man I'll watch probably tomorrow night. Bio-Dome I'll watch probably on Saturday night.

BTW, is it just me or does it sound like during one of the driving sequences (in the Nostalgia Critic's review for Bio-Dome), Monster Magnet is playing on the radio?

Finally saw Tommy. Love the album, and this movie lived up to it- it's so over the top and fun, how could you not love it? Plus Clapton and Elton John camoes, awesome! Some of the music works less well because Daltrey isn't singing it, but I like the added focus on guitars and piano in songs like "Eyesight to the Blind" and "Christmas."

I remember seeing some of that on a TV channel, and wanting to vomit. I only saw a bit, but by God, it was the most obnoxious thing I've ever seen.
