Gonna really devote some time learning how to sweep pick this summer; I've got about every metal guitar technique down pat except that. I think people that do nothing but sweep all the time are douches, but it'd be nice to know how to do it and use it occasionally.

I play...the flute. :D Does that count for this thread or is it strictly for metal-related instruments?

What's the old adage?
Elton John is a great piano player, but he sucks on the organ...

BTW, Sarah, don't mind us, we're just a couple of pigs oinking it up...swinish, yes, but not malicious.

That's my problem. I just get frustrated and want to play something else. I can't really just sit down and jam well, either, I tend to either want to play actual songs or work on writing one. Playing with structure is much more appealing for me.

Oooh, my friend has one of those, and it has much potential, but he doesn't really play metal so that's kind of a drag. I use one of these:

And I get some truly spectacular metal tone out of it. Lots and lots of variety.

I read good things about that one you have there. The distortion on my g2.1u is surprisingly good and quiet so I probably won't buy a separate dist. pedal, even though I planned to buy one with the g2.1u initially. Glad I didn't. The little guy can shatter the windows with a decent amp. Couldn't figure out half of what it can do though like how to get wah-wahs and the pitch shifter.

Bach's Cello Suite Prelude is such a fun piece to play.

I'm envious. The finger work at 1:20 looked mighty impressive.
