To be honest, I did enjoy the remake for what it was: Nic Cage overracting, hilariously. It's not like anyone watches an Arnie film for the acting, after all.

If you want overacting check out Bound by Honor. Unintentional comedy has it's merits.

Repo Men.

Didn't really do anything for me at all. A sorta-fun movie with good acting but an EXTREMELY predictable story. And then it attempts to justify said predictable story with a twist in the last two minutes of the film. I wasn't expecting the twist at all, but it still couldn't save the story. 5.5 / 10 from me.

Almost Famous. Awesome rock mockumentary movie. I recommend you all see it, if you haven't already.

Orgazmo

What do you think of this band?

they are ok I guess.

I think they sound like Depeche Mode. I don't want to sound like a queer or nothing, but I think Depeche Mode kicks ass.

---

On 3 everybody say Geddy Lee.

Who is Geddy Lee?

Only the best bass player ever. Come on guys. 1..2..3..

Geddy Lee?

Looking For Eric - another goodie from Ken Loach, surprisingly comedic from him.

Orgazmo is awesome. It would get a pass based on the intro music alone, but it succeeds beyond that as well.

I just watched Youth of the Beast, which is a 1963 Japanese Yakuza movie, that had very vibrant colors and a rockin' jazz score! The plot was "influenced" by Yojimbo, whose plot was in turn "influenced" by Red Harvest, and this movie was a gangster movie, so it could be closer to Hammett than Kurosawa, but I dunno. I don't really care either!

Goddamn, Predators looks like it's gonna be awesum. Better not get my hopes too high though, the trailer for AVP was also cool and we all know how that one turned out to be...

I sorta liked the first AVP. The second was godawful.

But I do have faith in Predators. In Robert Rodriguez I trust!

I have no faith in anything that was released after the first predator to be honest.

Just watched it. Without an Arnie figure it'll be another AvP2 - more horror than kickass action. Still, neat cast (Walton Goggins!) so I'll be seeing it fo'shure.

The Birds - If I had a time machine I'd go back in time and go to a screening of this, to see how people crapped their pants. Still kind of creepy after 50 years.

+1. I don't care how strong-armed the allegory was; I loved it.

Saw an advanced screening of Hot Tub Time Machine and yeah it wasn't great but it wasn't wholly bad. Honestly, Cusack was the worst part since is acting just seemed so out of place. See it if you're drunk or high and you'll probably like it. Tons of 80s' hair metal references.

The Proposal

is Sandra Bullock attractive? I can't quite tell.

If Jesse James cheated on her...

The Life Aquatic - so indie. Pretty fun.
Peter & The Fox - Great animated short film with Prokofiev's music. Got the chills big time in at least two parts.

Pan's Labyrinth- Excellent stuff visually, though I wasn't exactly concentrating on it so I don't have a clue what was going on. Plus I think I fell asleep.

Withnail And I- How had I not seen this before? Brilliant

The Crow- Oooof. Possibly the most 90s thing I've ever seen, and not in a good way.
