It's official, Armored Saint are no longer metal. EDIT - I'll give them hard rock/metal at the most .. but pure metal no way.

Their latest sounds like Kiss/Whitesnake/Crue/Dokken style rock with a modern twist and hint of latin. Kind of sad for fans of the 80's classics .. but nonetheless a good rock album for those who can get past the past and appreciate such things.

Bush's voice is really well suited for rock BTW.

Any other opinions?

Meh, I'm disappointed to be honest... Might get around to reviewing this, though I'd rather not.

Sounds like it would be more up Marty's alley.

Well, it's not like the early stuff, but neither was Revelation, and that came out 10 years ago. No surprise the band has moved farther away.

I still think it's too heavy to be considered hard rock. It has a lot of modern influence. So...modern metal? Either way, it's not a great album. Good, but nothing special.

It's a tough call .. I think the guitar tone is the main element making it metallic as most of the riffs and choruses are hard rock. But .. any amount of metal tends to classify something as metal.

For some reason I keep wanting to put it in for a spin :) I'd probably give it an 80/100 simply because of the few songs which are kind of average (Loose Cannon, Little Monkey).

Dave Prichard was a major contributor to Armored Saints early sound. His talents are sorely missed!
