I don't see how burning flags can be worse than slaughtering women & children...

I don't care about my nation's flag or any other... imo they are the symbols of our enslavement & the vcause of too many wars :evil:

Agreed.. I'd love to see the borders all dropped and have everyone become pangaea again in one big culture.. but then patriots wouldn't have anyone to blame but themselves.

Besides, absorbing the US wouldn't gain the rest of us any culture to speak of. joke :wink:

Did anyone say it was? As for symbols of our enslavement, what would you rather do, live in a faceless world, one country, one flag etc? You can argue about the cause of wars until the cows come home; most people would say it's religion rather than flags.

and I don't se how ONE NATION would mean ONE CULTURE.... within every nation we already have several cultures not to mention modern tribes (Metal etc...). How dropping the frontiers would change that ? :?

Agreed w/ you on this one, if a band gets political it is just begging to be criticised. And SOAD's stuff (burning flags at concerts - was it you that mentioned that in a previous post?) reminds me not so much as a decent band on the verge of becoming very big as some terrorist rally in Gaza or somewhere.

Well nobody said anything like that! :evil: They are supposed to be against war but that's exactly what they are inciting here don't you see they are showing their hatred against Turkey at every single chance and it's the kind of attitude which actually leads to genocides and wars.

Dropping the frontiers would mean all the metallians get together in one country, called Metalland. God, wouldn't it be terrible!

(As for your arg, well argued, as at present moment can't think of owt to write. How are we enslaved under flags, more than we are for, than say living in England/France/Swazilland?)

Mostly, flags signify the large events that have happened beneath them.. and the ones that people remember most are the atrocities.. getting rid of them would show a willingness to forgive and forget.
