Trick R Treat

I liked the anthology/EC Comics/Tales from the Crypt vibe they had going in this movie. By that, I mean the comic book style credit sequence, as well as the random left-turn/''fuck you" endings to the various stories. Also, Anna Paquin is a cutie. Also, her friend's cleavage was some kind of rocking.

I think the silly acting ruined it. Especially from the goddamn koreans or whatever they were.

Yeah, but at the same time Clint Eastwood's one liners redeemed it. I was entertained the whole way through, but that movie gets too much praise.

I felt that Gran Torino was a really strong film. Eastwood's character reminded me of an older retired version of the character he played in 'Heartbreak Ridge'. The exchanges between the neighbors and Eastwood's character were vitall to the film. I didn't like the ending all that much but I understand why they chose to close the film that way. He was still able to make a change and aid in protecting people he loved but this time non-violently and perhaps he earned a bit of absolution on his way out.

500 Days of Summer

All really good movies, especially Up in the Air. Go see it.

I don't understand all the hatahz on Avatar's storyline. I thought the whole concept of the people having avatars was pretty damn cool. What other movies have had similar plots/themes? I mean, I can think of Dances with Wolves and District 9 but other than that, not really.

Up in the Air sounds like fun. Hadn't heard of it.

Empties - Cute but realistic movie. Great characters and development and stuff. Liked it.
Angel of Death - Kinda hot but kinda manly chick beats people up and has seizures. Not very good and I was partially falling asleep during it.

Avatar (in 3D) - Kind of overrated. The visuals were cool, and during the jungle scenes I caught myself swatting at the bugs on the screen (thinking there was a bug in the theater). So, I was entertained. The story was OK, the acting kind of lame, the weird boobies were cool... overall, decent 6.5/10.

The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus

Another great film from Terry Gilliam. Tom Waits is awesome in this movie.

Sherlock Holmes - Putting Robert Downey Jr. on screen for 95% of the movie is a pretty easy way to make two hours of good times. The plot lost me a little in the big climax but otherwise fun.

Up In The Air - Really liked it. Not to mention the multiple Omaha, NE recognition (or degradation). 8.5/10

Sherlock Holmes - cool, but Sherlock was a bit too much like Dr. House. i mean, yeah he did drugs and was generally a bit of character, but in this movie it was just ridiculous.

Daybreakers. A nice surprise, not what I was expecting at all. The premise is great, the story is cool and totally unpredictable, but the movie lags a bit for about thirty or forty-five minutes in the middle. Some of the acting was rather poor, especially from Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoe, but for the most part the performances were solid. There's some awesome scenes too, especially towards the end. I'd give it a 7.5 / 10.

And why in the fuck is the main vampire named Edward??
