A really good, underrated album. Doom metal or progressive? Not really, dude. This album is 90% power metal.

Real good album, more unknown than underrated.

I wondered, but the riffs are far too Doomy - it is more or less a proggier Candlemass with Mats on vocals. Putting Power Metal and having people expecting Hammerfall....

Well, I think people looking for doom or progressive metal will be far more disappointed than those looking for Hammerfall.

That's why I hate the term power metal. Too many fucking different styles, from the fruity to the really dark and heavy.

I did mention a moment which sounded very US Power Metal to me, so it's in there. Glad to see I'm not the only one who's heard of it, anyways, great album.

But Ken called it power metal and power metal makes me think of dragons and damsels. Proggy is such an ambiguous description

OK guise, you all go and listen to it and then we'll start a poll or something in another thread to see whether you think it's Doom or Power Metal. As long as you're enjoying the metal and living your lives to the full, that's all that matters.
