This really is terrible news but I agree with Zad that as time goes on we're going to increasingly hear of similar situations as these guys get older. I can only hope that the treatment Ronnie receives sees the cancer go into remission. I certainly wouldn't want to hear of a legend like Ronnie dying slowly and painfully after all the joy he has brought to the metal/music community. :sad:

Anyways, it's craziness indeed. But they caught it pretty early on so it seems like he's got a good chance of beating it. Plus it's fucking Dio. I'm not freaking out just yet.

I was just listening to Dream Evil on the way back to my dorm, this really is pretty fucking disappointing. I grew up listening to his music and its pretty sad to hear such a powerful voice afflicted by such a wretched disease; he's old but I hope this doesn't affect his ability to sing..
