The first solo album of his I got was Terria but Ocean Machine, Accelerated Evolution, Synchestra or Addicted would all work as starting points. Maybe Infinity too.

I think Ziltoid could maybe be a good starting point since it has a bit of everything, Devin-wise.

I started with Infinity when I was 13. You really could start anywhere though.

Started with Terria and Accelerated Evolution, here. Anywhere's good; but don't forget to get SYL's Alien as well.

All Devin fans should listen to Vai's 'Sex & Religion.' Amazing album.

Been listening to this all day. Am I the only one that finds it a bit
depressing?

Not really but for an album that was supposed to be fun there sure is a lot of emotion in it.

It sounds like a happy album to me.

I like it so far, but it's not really overly catchy, I guess I was expecting something a little different. So far I actually like Ki more.

It basically seems like Accelerated Evolution with a bit of Aqua-esque Europop in there from what I've heard. Pretty good.

Eh, maybe it's just me then.

Good album though, will be picking it up for sure.

Wow. Supercrush is such an awesome song. I remember that video of him recording the chorus 72 times and it's cool hearing it now. Anneke works in this really well.

The asshole has everything linked to his myspace. It did this last night in anticipation and it's driving me nuts right now. I want to read what he posted.

I can't get "Bend it Like Bender" out of my head. It is definitely catchy.

Album of the month. Much better than Ki, and it makes Accelerated Evolution seem quite poor when I gave that another go. Great stuff.

Like the first and third sentences of that post but not so much the second.

I second Zad. Ki really only works in Devin's view of the whole project. As an album it has some cute moments (to the coast, disruptr, gato, trainfire) but overall the album just seems to lack the dynamics I would want a good album to have. That's fine it's what he intended to do but it just doesn't work for me.

I'd make the claim that Addicted! teabags Accelerated Evolution and even Ocean Machine, which always seemed too DT-esque for me to really enjoy.

Dunno what you mean by dynamics since it's got song variety and a lot of different moods going on in it.
